In your experience - what takes off inches faster

Walking or jogging?
or intervals?
in your own experience, what helped take inches off faster?
I know weight will come off in time, but I'd like to incorporate cardio that will help me tighten and tone up quicker.
(not including strength training and weights because I already know that hugely helpful for toning)
Thanks!

Intervals does it for me!0

If your endurance level allows it, try fartlek (speed-play). It's intervals in running. Do your regular jog, and then sprint (or something close to it) for a short distance, say 3 telephone poles or something. Then go back to your jog for a while, then sprint again. It gives your body a workout it's not used to, which produces results. Always keep your body guessing.
And, of course, there's no substitute for all-over strength training.0 -
Cardio Cardio Cardio. I've lost 106 since April and most was accomplished with intreval and HIIT training. Good Luck.0

I find that walking (at a good pace) burns more calories! Running builds muscle, so you might find that you'll tone up faster but not necessarily lose inches or weight since muscle weighs more than fat.

Totally intervals! I do 2 minutes of jogging at 5.0 and then 1 minute sprint at 8.0 for 45 - 60 minutes 2 times a week. I can go for so much longer with intervals (and burn more calories) since I have that recovery time to keep myself focused.
Also, there is something satisfying when you sprint so fast and can feel your wobbly bits getting worked0 -
Intervals between a jog and a Run! I do each for several minutes0

I ALWAYS lose weight/inches the fastest when I am running. The elliptical doesn't do it... or the bike. Running.0

i hit a plateau on the elliptical but then when i started running i started to really feel thinner..not just building up muscle in my legs (since i'm at a healthy weight) i actually started to see my legs get slimmer...
running opens a big can of worms as far as injury goes, don't overdo it if you've never ran before... i did and have hurt myself several times then making it impossible to work out for weeks at a time because of the injury!!!!!
BUT i love running for this reason. i used to only want to do lots of running (like 10+ miles) but i think i've learned my lesson and after i'm not sore from this CURRENT injury...start doing 5-7 miles at a time.
it really tones you.

I'm going to take body measurements again and hopefully will seem some real change soon.
thanks again.0
