    I often say to myself, though "The pain is a temporary discomfort, the result is entirely worth it" (I use this in all aspects of my life)

    *Success won't just come to you - it has to be met at least half way.
    *Don't give up 5 minutes before the miracle.
    *You have to believe in yourself. And you have to down deep within the bottom of your soul, feel that you can do the job that you've set out to do.
    *An imperfect body reflects an imperfect person.
    *I'm not starving myself... I'm perfecting my emptiness.
    *We become like what we love.
    *Don't give up what you want most for something you want in the moment.

    At the end of the day when you've come in under calories, had a good healthy days food, and felt good after doing some exercise - I always say to myself...

    "You don't have to do it any harder tomorrow, you just have to do it again"

    Makes the scary longer term goals a lot easier to deal with by dealing with them day by day!

    Oh, and I love:

    Just for today I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said, that “Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

    Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, keep my voice low, be courteous, criticize not one bit. I won’t find fault with anything, nor try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.
