I started my diet last Tuesday the 11th of OCT, and I weighted 228.6 lbs on a new digital scale that I checked
the weight accuracy at my doctors office. I weighed myself this morning and weighed 215.2 lbs. I feel good and am
sticking to my low carb 1200 calorie diet. But my question is, Is this to much of a weight loss so quick?
I am 61 retired Navy, 5'10"
Thanks for any suggestions

WOW great job! I think it's fairly normal just because it's a change from the usual. Sticking to your calorie goal alone will help you loose weight! Welcome to the site and just keep sticking to your calorie goal and watch the weight go down0

Furstky, well done that's a great weight loss. But your 1,200 calorie limit seems very low for a man. I assume that you didn't get that limit from MFP.0

Very likely the majority of that is water weight. But at your height and male, 1200 calories seems extremely low.0

I was going to say that as well... seems your calorie goal is low for being a man... also it seems like men have it easier to loose weight without really much effort, just my experience!0

Plugging your height & former weight into MFP....your BMR is over 1,800 cals a day. I'm hoping if you're eating so few cals (ESPECIALLY low carb....) that there is a doctor in the picture?0

Thank you!!

NO, MFP has me at 1700 a day and after I started eating the correct portions that MFP
recomended the weight started dropping fast
If I start feeling bad I will up my calorie intake
Thanks
