My food scale and canned pumpkin!
why pumpkin? do tell
It is low in calories and high in fiber, which has been instrumental in my weight loss. 1 serving of libby's canned pumpkin has:
1/2 cup (122g)
40 Cals - .5g fat - 5g sodium - 9g carb - 5 fiber - 4 sugar - 2 protein.
I mix splenda, vanilla extract, cinnamon and some nutmeg (all to taste) into it and make my vegetable a sweet treat. I also use that mixture in my oatmeal and greek yogurt. I also sometimes mix my ground flax seed into it as well. It's very filling and it's a guilt free food item for me when I feel the need to snack.
I plan to stock up this season before they run out and I have to wait months to get it!! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have this everyday! It's like my coffee addiction0 -
