    "Legend" with Tom Cruise

    "The Last Starfighter"

"Shogun" was an amazing made-for-TV miniseries....great if you have 8 hours to kill

"Labyrinth" I know most people know about it...but I can't leave it out of any "favorite movie" discussion

One you definitely HAVE to watch this Christmas:

    A Christmas Story.

It's a very beautiful story of a small boy called Nikolas, his childhood, and how he grows up to be the true Santa Claus. Beautifully done, very touching and emotional in places, guaranteed to give you that warm wintery glow. It's all in Finnish though, but there's subtitles.

(what is it with me and foreign films? lol)

Really? Wow. I don't think I have a single person in my circle of friends who hasn't seen it at least a dozen times.

Lady in the Water - an M. Night Shyamalan flop, but it's my favorite ever.
Stardust - and Stardust even had Robert DeNiro in it as a cross-dressing sky-pirate.

Pure Luck. Fantastic comedy from the early 90s? maybe. Now I can't find it ANYwhere. Which is such a shame... because it was really good.

Own Lady in the Water and a friend of mine showed me Stardust. I about fell off the couch laughing when I saw DeNiro. Hehe.
