When you go over your daily calories & are in "the red" for the day, do you just balance it out by eating less the next day & just look at the weekly calories, or do you just move on? I went over by 105 today & I'm trying not to let the red number get to me too much!

I go over now and then on weekends, I tighten up my meals one or two days during the week. I've realized it hard to "count" beers as you get older. Luckily I have an old coke machine so I can check in the morning to see how many are gone! lol Don't focus to much energy on a negative day, stay positive, look at where you were, where you are, where you want to get to in the end.

Being over by 105's no big deal. If I'm over by a lot, I'll try to make my weekly average what it's supposed to be by just eating a tiny bit less the rest of the week.

If you have MFP set to lose you are already operating at a caloric deficit.
Eating a marginal amount over your allotted calories is not going to be that big of a deal.....unless you are doing it every day, and it is significant amounts.

    Just keep moving forward.

Chances are, you're under more than you're over. It's net calories over time that really matters, so one day isn't a big deal. Be more conscious tomorrow, but don't worry too much about it :D

Dittoing the rest of the thread. Your body has a set goal for you to operate on calorie wise. FMP sets it up where your daily goal is WAY under that (mine is roughly 400 calories under that) so, going over once or twice is alright as long as it isn't big. I would just make it up over the next few days somehow.

Personally I try to eat my exercise calories back over the course of a week - I travel a lot for work and it's much harder to stay on target those days than others. Conversely, it's easier to fit exercise into my day on days where I don't travel. Therefore, there's days when I'm over and days when I'm under. As long as I'm averaging what I want for the week I still seem to do okay.

You've lost 24lbs already, so going over by 100kc is not the end of the world.

I regularly go over my MFP target, especially at the weekends, but some days without really trying I eat light, so it's swings and roundabouts.

Don't beat yourself up about it. Guilt is not a good place to be. Weight loss should be enjoyable otherwise you haven't found the path/program what's right for you. Stay positive and enjoy life :flowerforyou:

As long as I'm below my maintenance levels, I know that I'm still on the trajectory towards weight loss, so I don't worry about it. If I'm over and there's still time to do some exercise, then I might do a short workout (like 30DS) just to help undo some of the "damage," but if that's not possible it's not a big deal.
