If I haven't seen a movie above, I've heard of them.

It's the one "talent" I have other that consuming mass quantities.

I love Flight of the Navigator, from the 80's and Martian Child w/John Cusack. Some awesome flicks!

The Power of One - (Morgan Freeman) - early 90s
The Name of the Rose - (Sean Connery, Christian Slater) - mid 80s

Two of my more obscure favorites.

Two of my favorite movies, both starring Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the South Park guys)

    Orgasmo
    BASEketball

And what always makes me shake my head is the people who have seen BASEketball who think Parker and Stone wrote it (it is 100% their humor and style) -- they didn't. It's an David Zucker movie.

And then there's always the horrible Flash Gordon movie from the 1980. It's absolutely cheesy and horrible. And I love it. And only the hard core comic book geeks have ever seen it.

I've seen that one. I won't lie, I watched it specifically to see Christian Slater's *kitten*.

Since I'm sure most here would have seen my fave fantasy movies I'm going to go with my favorite chick-flick (and admit, yes I do watch them :).

It's called "Serendipity". First for the message, and second that it has the book 'Love in a Time of Cholera' as it's macguffin.

Indian Summer - such a fun movie and a GREAT cast!

Dark Crystal - ♥ this movie

Three to Tango - yes it's cheesy, but it's so fun. Oliver Platt makes the whole movie "don't make me make you my prison b!tch"

i used to watch indain summer at least 4 times a year of more lol

For example: Arlington Road with Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges. I love this movie, but no one I work with has ever seen it or heard of it...REALLY?? Another one is Return to Paradise with Joaquin Phoenix and Vince Vaughn...such a good movie, but NO ONE I know has seen it or heard of it.

I love both these. I don't think there's anything with Tim Robbins or a Phoenix in it that I haven't seen.

There's film from maybe the early 90s, with Holly Hunter, Danny Aiello, Gena Rowlands, Laura San Giacomo and Richard Dreyfuss in it, called Once Around. It is one of my favourite films ever. And nobody but me and my sister seems to know it exists.

I feel pretty sure everyone of a certain age has seen this movie. It's a classic.

Don't think this one was mentioned but Stigmata is a good one with patricia arquette and gabriel byrnes!!!

I actually took a film class as an elective for my undergrad, and did a paper on the use of lighting in that movie...hahaha. It really was a fantastic movie..I love the message in it too, and I always think Gabriel Byrne is pretty hot, even dressed as a priest!

I just watched "Little Shop of Horrors" again. Don't know how mainstream it is, but it's fun and campy.
  • SO many great movies in this thread! Seriously!

One of my favorites is The Legend of 1900. It's the sappiest movie I've ever loved.
