CLEARLY BY GOING THROUGH YOUR POSTS YOU ARE A NO IT ALL EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HAS THERE OWN OPINIONS WHATS YOUR STATS LETS SEE PICS.0 -
I have an apple in the afternoon within 2 hours before spinning to make sure I don't have feel queasy on an empty stomach and give me the energy/carbs I need but I use my whey protein AFTER the workout as then the protein is best absorbed/utilized by your muscles.
Rule of thumb; carbs before, protein after.
You seen to know your stuff:) Supplements arnt a problem with cost as i sell them, and i read alot of articles bout bcaa's and believe their very important in my lifestyle. I also take 7-10g with every meal tbh
I'd bet $$ that everything you've read is either ad copy or studies that compare BCAA to inadequate overall protein consumption.
Newsflash: Protein contains bcaa (and the other aa as well). If you're consuming a good amount of protein (>1g/lb LBM), there is NO benefit to supplementing with BCAA (apart from the aforementioned fasted training example).
IFBB body builders cant be wrong my friend who can argue with their articles on bcaa's you should read a few they are espically important on a cutting cycle to help preserve muscle with zero kcals. a guy im friendly with came second in the overall mr britain 18st 7lbs at 4% and he said when cutting 10g bcaas with every meal is essential im not gona argue with him.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc combined with appeal to authority from a steroid user. YAAAYYYY!
Got any peer-reviewed science to back up your claim?0 -

Posedown? Really?
The Derp is strong with this one.0 -
I eat a few Chocolate covered espresso beans if I"m doing intense cardio that will last more than an hour.0
-
Chocolate milk is a realy good pos-workout drink to be supplemented with creatine, bcaa's, l-gutamine. But by itself is great as well.0
-
I've considered trying BCAAs as I'm in a slight calorie deficit mode right now. Optimum Whey has some and I drink it after.
I wonder if a purely bcaa drink before would help? I get pretty damned sore sometimes and wonder if that's part of it?
I lift weights and superset all my lifts to keep my heart rate up. Ave 1 hour per workout w/ cardio (jumprope 30 min).0 -
Depends on the day, and what workout I am heading into: If its been a long rough one (i.e. 2 hour drive to and from client, or an early AM workout the day after a late Martial Arts session) I grab an N.O. Explode on my way in.0

Thanks everyone for all the good information but I have another question. One of my friends told me that you shouldnt use a pre-work out drink if you need to lose weight it is only to gain muscle. I am not liking that. I did try the Nzero and LOVED it. Gave me more energy to keep going on the treadmil. Now I am not sure what to do. Help?????? I still have about 40lbs that I want to lose.0

Get a low to zero kcal stimulant drink like jack3d ur friend must be thinking of a high kcal drink with carbs in it. Stimulants defo help you get a second wind through a cardio session imo.0

BCAAS ROCK!
Another bcaa man amen lol0 -
Absolute must when you are building muscle.0
-
Does the optimum Whey have enough of it for the moderate lifter like myself? I end up doing alot of leg plyometrics on top of my swata/deads/power cleans. In order to get the cardio aspect going. I end up being sore almost the entire week.
should I be taking another shot of BCAAs for recovery/muscle build? Brand recommendations?0 -
Only thing pre workout you should really need is a good meal 2-3 hrs before hand then half hr before training and during drink BCAA's.0

BCAA's are primarily used to build muscle and also fuel muscle so they prevent the muscle from getting broken down during training. Any brand will do really but the Dymatiize recoup seems to be the best out there at the moment. They also activate the Mtor pathway in ur genes sending signals to grow muscle and lose fat.0 -
