Okay, so I started watching this show on Netflix a while back... I don't know why, but it helps me with my eating habits. lol. It seems weird, but watching that guy eat all that crazy-bad-for-you food makes me want to eat that stuff less, especially when he does the food challenges and he's all gross and sick afterward. And at the same time, it's almost like I'm experiencing it with him when he's eating, like I can taste the food or something. I love watching that dude eat. lol. Am I totally insane? XD

Just a random thought I had and for some reason decided to share it. haha <3

Some of the food on there I want to try. But I am worried so much for his health. When I first watched that show he wasnt the size he is now. I hope he is being good to himself too

I've watched the show twice (he came to my town a year or so ago so I watched to see my friends) and it makes me physically ill.

probably IS a good idea to watch and put me off greasy food forever.

Oh yes, I think his doctors agreed. He's having local people doing the challenge now, and he's just rooting for them.

I like watching the show, sometimes it grosses me out, sometimes it makes me hungry. Especially when he had the huge mofongo from the Puerto Rican restaurant in NYC....I was like *drool* home food = yum. lol

what grosses me out is Andrew Zimmerman's show, where he eats all the stuff from different countries. I can't handle watching him eat some of it.

I LOVE ANDREW! I love watching him eat random things. Some of it I cannot stomach, but then some I am like "hum..I wonder what it tastes like"

I do watch it from time to time and some of the food DOES look amazing. What I do is find healthier alternatives if I feel like eating it. Call me the cosmic kill-joy, but it at least gives me the same satisfaction without the calorie count. I love food as well, so I just have to learn to love it in smaller portions with healthier options.
  • great show but alot of glutonous eating

I watch this show too and sometimes I won't lie I get a little jealous that he gets paid to travel the world trying some of the most delicious and unique cuisines. Although I would actually want to enjoy them and not be trying to force them down my throat.

i've watched that show a couple of times, and for the most part it ends up grossing my out (mainly the amounts/types of foods he gorges on). BUT i can related on how watching this type of show somehow eases up the need for more food yourself. i love watching cooking shows, and shows like Top Chef/Iron Chef, etc... it's hard to explain exactly why. i also adore reading restaurant reviews, etc... and i don't really like to cook! :ohwell:

Same way. I think his doc must've told him to chill out and that's why he's doing man vs food nation now. Although, I do want to try some of the hot challenges. We have quaker steak and lube here and I really want to try their wing challenge. Just wonder if they will let me try the hot sauce first. lol

i love that show. The episode where he was tasting the "juicy lucy" burgers from different restaurants made me crave the burger so bad. I got the closest thing I can think of. IN -N-OUT Cheeseburgers. It's far from a juicy lucy burger but it satisfied my cravings. Watching the show when I'm hungry is a danger to my diet.

I love this show, too. But I seriously fear for this guys health! That is probably why he is doing Man vs Food Nation where he hosts while other people do the challenges. I would love to go everywhere he has been and try all the challenge foods. Not participate in challenges but it looks as though all the dishes he is eating is for more than one person. Kinda like a family feast or something.
  • I like the show, but it honestly turns me off of junk food when I watch it. Probably a good thing, because I eat a lot when I binge

  • Some of that food looks damned good...especially when he has steaks and stuff...

Recently they played a rerun where he had a 6 patty burger topped with fois gras and bacon and I thought...BRING IT ON!! Of course, I'd get about 3 bites into it and be full. I am such a meat and potatoes girl though, that the BBQ episodes really make me drool.

He now does MvP Nation...so I think his docs told him he had to stop, or his hunny did.
