(Not so much) weight loss!

I only wish to lose around 2kg and generally just want to tone up. I have been exercising around 4 times a week (Zumba, aeromix, aqua aerobics etc) for at least 8 weeks and tracking what i eat for about 2, yet nothing. No weight loss, no inch loss... what's going on??
The info I put in here was a 1 pound a week loss, and it still came back with the 1,200 calories a day.
Have I unwittingly put my body into starvation mode??

eat back your exercise calories...at least some of them. with the amount you exercise your body could be going into starvation mode, but everyone is different.0

I'm definitely no expert but what about your food choices? Are you eating lots of carbs w/o protein? I'm not into the whole low/no carb thing but I do know that when I make protein a bigger part of my diet (eggs, turkey, etc) then I do better on inches...I *think* it helps build muscle! And the more muscle you have the more fat you burn (even while resting)...someone feel free to correct me if my thinking is wrong.0

if you are already thin and want to tone you should be doing strength exercises and not so much cardio. If you don't have alot of fat to burn you may not see any weight loss. Muscle weighs more than fat so you may even see a gain if you are gaining muscle.0

The best way of toning up is to do less cardio exercise and more low weights high reps.... Yoga/Pilates will help and are really good for core stability...
Do you attend a gym?? Best thing would be to ask the instrcutors what to do... I always ask and have got so much knowledge of what works best.
If you are looking to tone up chances are you will put on weight as muscle weights more than fat - I always recommend toi go on your measurements to notice a difference rather than the scales.. Just think... u could look a size 8 but weight a size 12, the main thing is how you feel

This! Except HIGH weight, LOW reps!
And remember, losing bodyfat and gaining muscle is a sloooooooooow process, so you need to be patient, and look for results after months not weeks.0 -

I suppose my food choices, while not unhealthy, certainly aren't as healthy as they could be. With regards the gym - yes I am a member - I will certainly go and have a chat to one of the instructors and see what they reccommend.
I have done yoga for around 18 months but have had to stop for a while due to work commitments - I'll ease up on the cardio and look at more strength training.

I sincerely doubt you are in starvation mode. However, when you have little to lose it is all the more harder to lose it! Even though it says "1 pound per week", MFP will never allow you to go below 1200 calories, because it is when you go below that point that you are in putting yourself in danger.
Here is what I do wonder, though. You sound as though you are doing a lot of cardio. Are you doing any strength exercise? Cardio does burn calories, but strength training builds muscle, and muscle tissue burns a lot more than fat does. Perhaps that is the addition you need.
And give it time--when you have very little to lose it comes off very slowly.0
