I'm wondering if any of you can help me with introducing new activities to my workout.
Currently I do a walking video 3 times a week, it's 45 minutes. On the same day I do in home stuff like squats, sit ups, push ups, and leg lifts. I think I'm at a point where I need to introduce new things. I have a Yoga video I'd like to do but I don't know when to do it. Should I do it on the same days I do everything else, or on the alternate days? Any suggestions? Thanks

I'd alternate the days. I do yoga one day then weight lifting the next and it really works for me. But everyday I jog at least a mile and take my dog for about a 45 minute walk. I'll randomly add my dancing, bellydancing, or taebo dvds in to different days. Do you have a set of free weights? Just adding some dumbbell workouts might help. Or buy a new dvd...anything really. I love buying random workout dvds

Thanks, It's great to be able to get help from others. I'm going to add the yoga. I think I'll walk everyday too, instead of just every other day. Thanks for you input.

I think you need to do things that wil shock your body and kick start your metabolism again. I think dance classes are amazing, maybe a carido-boxing class, or if you have kids and just can't seem to get awa long enough for that, take them to a track and do sprints up the bleachers. It has firmed my *kitten* and really gets me breathing heavy.

    Enjoy :)

I would check out the Healthy Living Program offered by iVillage. They customize workouts for those who who use the gym and those who don't. It's free and provides step by step instructions for the exercise and what your ideal warm-ups should be.

    Good Luck!
