Thank you Victoria's Secret for my NSV

It sounds unbelievable that at 60 years old I can still appreciate recreational underwear and miss wearing sexy things because I thought my weight kept me from doing so.
I purchased things for myself with out a problem 12-13 years ago at Victoria's Secret. Last December I went into a shop to see if I could buy myself some sexy undies or lingerie to surprise my husband. I was so disappointed in myself that I could not begin to fit anything in the store.
It still took a couple months before I "hit bottom", I measured myself to modify a pattern I was using to make myself a pair of dress slacks. That was the last straw. I began working out and I am eating healthier, joined MFP a few months ago and so far I have lost 20 lbs.
I am in a plateau with my weight for the last two weeks. I believed I needed to measure my progress with a tape measure rather than a scale. I was so pleased to see I had dropped 4 inches around the waist and hips and almost a 4 inch decrease in my bra size since measurments I took 9 months ago.
I went back to Victoria's Secret yesterday (with my husband) and found that I fit several styles of bras and panties. My husband and I will be going to a convention in Las Vegas next week so I bought two sets of lingerie to celebrate my changes.
Don't give up, it will happen.

That is awesome, I'm so happy for you! I loooove when people come in to the store with weight loss stories and are now able to fit into our sizes (granted, I think the sizes we carry in the store have been getting WAY small! unfair!). It makes me happy to see other women feeling sexy and confident, go you!0

Some stupid girl totally humiliated me when I went there a few years ago to get sized for a bra, so I refuse to step foot inside.
But that doesn't change that I'm happy for YOU! :flowerforyou:0 -

You definately don't look 60 ! I too LOVE VS. I haven't been in there for some time myself for the same reasons you mention. Since Aug 4 th I have lost 24 LB's so I decided to visit my FAV store just for the fun of it. I tried on the sexiest bra they had and to my delight I was a whole size smaller. I was soooo excited I purchased the bra, several pairs of (smaller) sexy undies, a pair of pajamas and BOMBSHELL BODY LOTION , which I highly recommend you get some for your trip with your hubby. CONGRATS on your 20 LB's !!!:flowerforyou: PS..... I'm 59.0

There's an old saying: "The best revenge is living well."
You need to have a "Pretty Woman" moment in Vicky's. Don't let some ignorant sales clerk from several years ago keep you from enjoying life today, especially with all the effort you have made and are making. You deserve it.0
