I am. How the hell do you plan to stay on your workout regiment with all of the awesome games coming out in the next few weeks? My hand is already reaching for my phone to call Dominoes and nothing's even come out yet!

I am a gamer though, mostly computer games, but I do love the good old Mortal Kombat
I mostly play WoW, DragonAge, and Sims Medieval

Stay strong I love to game too. I try to make my gaming time a reward for getting my workout done. If I dont have time to work out then no time to game. If you stick to that you will workout everyday for the rest of your life lol. Oh and if you work out like I do 5 days in the gym two days off then those days off game until your fingers fall off but set nature valley bars beside you to snack on or almonds dont eat crap. You can have the best of both worlds if you use gaming as a motivation. Good luck and let me know how you do and what games you get cause I am looking for some new ones myself.

Ha. My /played was showing it to me in DAYS instead of hours.

I stick to offline games now so I can shut it off when I want.

Skyrim! I can't wait for it to come out...but even when I find myself sucked into hours upon hours of video game play (i've been particularly susceptible to Dragon Age recently), I still find time to eat good food. Try planning some meals in advance, especially anything you can freeze and re-heat!

I'm getting all of the following games for my PC:
    Skyrim
    Assassin's Creed Revelations
    Batman Arkham City
    Battlefield 3.

    That'll get me to mid-November :D

I am a gamer too :) I've cut down recently on my gaming because of my study and work, but I've been spending the last 5 years being a complete gamer! Feel free to add me as a friend if you like :)

Plan your meals and snacks especially! Either premake your meals for the times you'll be online or plan in your head or on MFP what you meals are so you don't deviate. I always sit with a HUGE glass (or even 1-2L of water) at my desk while gaming, that way I don't wander off to the pantry for a quick nibble!

Theres a gamers forum?! Ive been beta testing star wars the old republic, desperately waiting for diablo III, am a reformed WoW addict and played lord of the rings online instead, then switched to Aion.

I never ordered pizza though. I mainly didnt eat, especially while raiding. Of course i have burned many frozen pizzas past redemption... Time flies when youre grouped for a quest!

I had to edit to say i LOVED both dragon ages and will definitly be playing Skyrim.
  • My husband said, "WOW is making some changes...I think I'm going to quit playing. Have to find me a more grown up game to play..." I said, "yeah, it's called Real Life." LOL I guess that's what he gets for marrying out of the species!

See, that is a good idea. If you have the self-control / willpower. Me - I know I don't. lol. I've tried restraint before and it always turned into an unhealthy addiction that would keep me glued to the computer all day and all too often all night the same day. Partially atrophied leg muscles = plenty reason never to play mmorpgs again. Though I do miss it from time to time, I will forever and always hate WoW. lol. Kudos to those who can self-discipline though! :)

I am a gamer, I love COD! Can't wait til MW3 comes out! And I'm totally getting Battlefield 3 soon!
I also like WOW and Magic. You can still eat healthy even though you are playing games all day. Take a break to eat a salad or make a nice healthy meal. Maybe some fat free popcorn to munch on while playing?

It took a while to get to that point. I dont play too much on the computer but Dragon Age was bad I had to make myself get off of it and even had to quit for a while to remind myself what was really important. I love to game and spend hours doing it after I hit 273 pounds something had to change and I needed to be more active so I got off the chair :)

I'm glad you did - that is awesome. :)

For me though, it's like saying a crackhead should simply stay away from crack. lol. It's just better if I don't touch the stuff... XD Or like an alcoholic presented with alcohol. I hope I'm not coming across as offensive, I definitely don't intend to! Just kinda joking around about my past addiction to a video game. It kinda helps me cope in some strange way.

I am mostly definitely a gamer and am so happy that Batman: Arkham City has come out. I loooove to play it, but one of the ways for me to exercise, but feed my gamer's needs is to play a game like DDR, Dance Central, or Zumba (Kinect-style). It's fun, I get really into the shakin' my groove thang as well as trying to beat my past scores. I get frustrated if I can't and try even harder the next time around to beat it and it helps keep me motivated as well as gettin' my exercise on.
  • 11-11-11 Elder scrolls Skyrim I will be on lock down in my room for like a week lol

I really only play Final Fantasy XI, my husband got me to play when we first started dating. Although I absolutely love two-player games that we can play together (Resident Evil 5, Rainbow Six- New Vegas (1&2) etc.) My hubby is the serious gamer, and is waiting (should I say dying?) For Skyrim to come out, I am pretty excited for it too since I have tried all the Elder Scrolls games (my mom is a big fan and played Arena when it first came out.)
  • I love gaming. Even being a game tester for 5 years couldn't kill that! Ha. But yeah, I don't exercise really.... I just started my weight loss journey and all of my weight loss so far is purely from diet change. I'm currently unemployed, so I don't think it'll be difficult to work in gaming with exercise when I get around to it. >> Right now I went back to Dragon Age: Origins (I haaaated the second one) and I play a lot of Rift. I gave 4 or 5 years of my life to wow... but you know my old wow friends keep me updated and I think I'm definitely resubbing for the next expansion. I'm going to be a hermit when Skyrim comes out next month.

I'll be getting all these too but on 360. Also MW3 which I don't know whether I'm excited about or not but I'm still getting dragged to midnight launch! :P

We got Batman Arkham City on Saturday, it's good. :)

& I know what you mean... Don't know if I'll get to Christmas goal while there's all these games out!! XD

Assassin's Creed Revelations! I can't get over that trailer.
  • I want MW3 and Arkham City like CRAZY. I have Gears 3 and I haven't even played online yet

I used to play ALL the time. Online. I like talking crap to people. It makes me laugh lol But since I had chunkabutt, I don't get the chance to play between her and classwork. I miss playing online with my friends =( I will say that Xbox Live is NOT a dating service. I can attest to that unfortunately lol
