Hi! I am running in NH and it is starting to get chilly! I bought the cold gear underarmor, and so I am happy just wearing that. I wear the regular underarmor pants that go just below my knees. Soon I'll probably have to throw on a light jacket too - but once I am up and going I'm pretty warm.0

With temps as low as the 20s, I've worn light weight long pants, a wicking t-shirt and a zipper front sweat shirt, so I can get some airflow as I warm up. And gloves. Heck, if it's below 50, I'll wear gloves.
Sunscreen and chapstick, too.0 -
Hat (can be a warm cap that covers your ears or a baseball cap with an ear band over), thin gloves (or you can wear socks on your hands), windbreaker or at least a good vest, one or two upper body layers (one of them should cover your neck as in a mock turtleneck), long leggings.
Assuming it is dry... if it is wet at 35 degrees F, you'll want to ensure you have winter tights on and a wind/rain shell.
Hope this helps.
Some people's breathing gets affected by the cold, and at what temperature, it depends. In cold temps I often bring a bandana to tie across my mouth (or some folks have a proper face mask) to help warm the air before it gets into the lungs. At 35 degrees, this shouldn't really be a problem unless you have really sensitive lungs.
Enjoy your run!0 -
i bundle up on my upper body. right now its just an undershirt and long sleeve work out tee, and shorts. but pretty soon it'll be long sleeve thermals, long sleeve tee, and vest, hat, thermal leggings, and shorts.
i hate having my legs over heat.0 -

I think the general rule of thumb is to dress as though it was 15 degrees warmer (10 degrees if we're talking Celcius). That way you're chilly at first but just right mid-run. Seems to work for me anyway!0

The best thing I ever bought were YakTrax. They slide on to the bottom of your shoes and you can run through the ice and snow. Pants: Get running tights. I like Under Armour but I've heard other brands were just as good. Top, get the dri-fit half zips, and layer over those. If you're running in the early morning Brooks makes reflective coats/hats, too. Really pleased with their quality.0

Dress for the middle of the run. You'll warm up after ~ 2 miles. I like to stay in shorts and then go with long sleeves and gloves as it gets colder. I like layers and gloves and arm-warmers as I can easy take them off and tuck them into my shorts if I get too hot.0

I always wear something to cover my ears (they hurt when its really cold out) and gloves (Nike makes some really good gloves especially for running..you may want to check them out).0

I get cold REALLY easily and have a circulation problem, so I tend to dress like I am heading out to visit Santa at the North Pole.
Coldgear pants, two layers of shirts and a heavier fleece type on top, gloves (gloves are a MUST for me otherwise my fingers will turn white), and either an ear warmer or fleece hat. I made the mistake of not putting on enough layers the other day and was seriously cold all freaking day long. It was miserable.0
