How many of you perhaps saw the CrossFit Games yesterday? Always looking to connect with fellow "Warriors"...

I watched it briefly. Wow, that is intense. Are the normal workouts that intense? We now have someone offering that in the Lafayette area in Indiana and I have been tempted to try it, but not sure if I could keep up.

If you go to this link, on the left side you can select the state you're in and see some locations. There's a few throughout Delaware I noticed... http://is.gd/Xtwf1R

I watched it and I'm inspired! I really think I would love to do crossfit. I can't climb a rope to save my life though but people tell me you can work up to it.

Absolutely..those athletes have been doing it for YEARS. So I would recommend trying it at least ONCE and see if you like it.
  • I was introduced to CrossFit a few years back by some spec ops blokes. There was a site that had loads of CrossFit routines that I perused through at the time. However, I watched watched the games last night on ESPN2 with my 21-month old daughter (was looking for something better to watch than America's Got Talen or Dancin' with the Stars). She was lounging, kicking back on my lap, looked up at me and asked me something in a form of a question, pointing at the women she saw in the competion. I went with it, and said "yep, they're strong, aren't they? You'll get like that too if you did what they did." She got up and started doing squats watching the women do them. I noticed how each person had a slightly different way of performing her squat (but ensured that they broke the 90-degree plain). I got all pumped up and got alongside my daughter performing squats! I'm stoked! How often are the CrossFit Games on ESPN? Granted, I'm going to be like the guys, but it's great to see some of the women performed better than the guys in some exercises!

Wow! Thanks for the story, yeah those air squats are MURDER but they burn your *kitten* literally OFF..haha! The women were AMAZING and I just LOVED how they all encouraged each other, though there's $$$ involved.

PS - Miranda (the female announcer) is my all time favorite crossfitter. Awesome strength and beauty.

It was pretty fun to watch.
Some of the weights (women especially) were impressive.

Some of the stuff is just laughable tho . kipping pullups are retarded.
