So I started my weight loss journey when I hit 170 at 18 years of age and was told my BMI was officially in the 'obese' category. (I'm 5'3" tall.) This shocked and disgusted me, so at college I started swimming, then joined the crew team etc. Plus, I started trying to eat more healthy foods. I plateaued in spring of 2010, then gained 10 pounds back. This August I started using MFP and I'm down to 139.2 pounds. My goal is 135 pounds, at which point I'll re-*kitten* and see if I still need to do another 5.

Still, I'm pretty proud of this progress! (I'm in my pants from the spring of 2010 again, plus I'm hiking and biking constantly and love it!)

Pics:

About 170 pounds, age 18 (I'm a computer):

The codes were wrong. At the end of the picture link, you need [/ img] and it was just [ img] (without the spaces)

 OMG! Lol be proud, very proud! Amzing Job!
  • Awesome... Congrats! :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you everybody! After this I feel so good to drop the last five and maintain, maintain, maintain!

A note on the costumes - every year I allow myself $10 to purchase new materials for costumes, and create something using clothes, props, shoes etc. that I already have or can get for free.
*The computer costume = recycled box, face paint and my ethernet cable.
*The voodoo doll costume = my own dress, string, a bandana cut in the shape of a heart & sewn together stuffed with cotton balls, a knitting needle, safety pins and make up.
*The mother earth costume = dress from a secondhand store, sticks & leaves, my own shows and earrings.

Halloween is a good time to REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE!

Again, really, thank you all for your compliments. I feel so awesome right now.
