A lot of you have no idea what you are talking about. He bought them for the right reason, you are supposed to take them durin your workout. We use amino core. It's fruity but good and there is a lot in a tub. Good luck!
research supporting this? and not the unpublished scivation study please
What do I need to support? Common sense: drink it during your workout. Everything else I said was pure opinion.
Ps amino core is by Allmax, they make splendid whey isolate protein too!
i was wondering if you had research supporting the benefits of BCAAs intra workout on non fasted individuals
"It is during training when a sudden catabolic stress is placed on your body and you begin to use up your glycogen stores that your BCAA and glutamine stores begin to become compromised." bodybuilding.com
A lot of people also say do it before AND after. I have found personally that it helps me recover faster. I cant even convince myself to take a day of from the gym.
:;sigh::
"A. Aragon: No, supplemental BCAA is not necessary unless you’re not consuming enough high quality protein. Bodybuilders get marketed to death about the benefits of free-form BCAA when there’s no objective evidence of their benefit over the pre-existing BCAA within the matrix of real food. People forget that BCAA is abundant in many foods in nature, especially animal proteins. I base all of my beliefs and recommendations on scientific evidence, not subjective placebo and marketing driven testimony. You can be sure that if someone believes (by whatever means it took to convince him) that extra BCAA will work, it will. However, it’s the belief that’s the active agent, not the BCAA.
You can create the same effect by convincing someone that a lucky rabbit’s foot in his right pocket will increase his lifting strength. If the person is truly convinced or even if the person has deeply vested hopes in the product or protocol, it indeed will work. The mind has powerful effects on the body. It always has and always will.
Until I see solid replicated scientific evidence of the benefits of stacking supplemental BCAA on top of a pre-existing high protein intake (as compared to simply increasing total protein), I’m not going to buy into the hype. I’ve even experimented with my athletic clientele and had them ditch supplemental BCAA in favor of an increased protein intake. Not only did I save them a lot of money, but their performance and body composition continues to improve. I know that it’s not a tightly controlled experiment, but it definitely puts me at ease that I’m not missing out on any “magic.”"
I guess we all have our opinions. I know for me personally I do not get enough nutrients from food, as i rarely eat meat, and especially with how often/hard I work out I need all the help I can get.0 -

A good read. Anyone try ?
I get sore after workouts and hard hikes. I could use something to help with recovery. I could try doubling the protein intake but was thinking of using the ON stuff during my workouts to try to ease the soreness I've been battling soreness for years. Especially the day after b-ball0 -

I was looking at that one also. Thanks.0 -
I ended up ordering a flavored powder w/o the stimulants. I work out at night and don't want to have problems sleeping later.0
