OK. So I had a google and theres mixed reveiws on it. Something about mold is penicillin aswell. (can't spell it?!)

I decided to have a bacon sandwich for breakfast, I was gunna REALLY enjoy it and have white bread but stuck to my hovis nimble (47cal) to keep my day on track a little. Had 3 Rashers of bacon and 3 slices of bread.

Ate it. Yum. Great!

Went to do my son some toast about 20minutes later... buttered it, MOLD! So yeah, great, sons having white bread for breakfast..oh wait, cr*p. I just ate that?!?

Soo... as embarassing as it is in my greed to have my bacon sandwich (omg it's been months!) like, what? Should I go doctors, is it ok just to leave it? Maybe drink something to put my mind at ease, i don't know. All I know is i'm a little grossed out and feeling slightly light headed.

The mold was only slightly small on one side of the bread near the crust.

Anyone got any ideas? ha thank you

Completely harmless, don't worry about it.

    I've done it myself.

I don't know if it was on my bread, thats the thing! I was to greedy to stop and check. I never usually bother breads usually gone before it's got time to go bad.

I only brought it about 3 days ago!

Even if the slice you ate was green and hairy it's still completely harmless. A bit Gross, but so are a lot of things.

You have mold spores growing in your stomach.
  • Don't worry, if it was enough to hurt you (which it wouldn't anyway)...or even notice...you would have tasted it. Mold is gross with a strong metallic flavor. You didn't taste it so most likely you got little to none on your pieces of bread. Let it go.

So a trip to the doctors isn't needed then!

I'm so grossed out, that will teach me, I'm put of foods so easily aswell I'll be suprised if I touch bread again for months.

Nothing harmful about it. The lightheadedness is an emotional reaction, not physical.

But it does mean that you bought bread that isn't loaded with preservatives! I keep easy-to-spoil breads in the refrigerator so they will keep longer. Fresh deli breads are notorious for spoiling quickly.

I was more grossed-out by some wheat bread that kept for OVER A MONTH with no mold or musty smell. What was in that stuff?!?!

Yep, totally agree. The amount of preservatives in foodstuffs is alarming. All to give products a longer shelf-life.
Fresh bread from bakeries is the way to go, or homemade if you have the time and inclination. But that's a personal choice.
    Have a good day now.

LOL yes I know the stuff. Its so disgusting even the bacteria won't eat it

Don't worry about the mold. Like someone else said, if you didn't taste it, you didn't have any or it wasn't enough to bother about.
