I'm bored at work and wanting my PM snack NOW!!!

What do you do to past the time and resist munching?

    drink lots of water! chewing gum helps me resist the urge to munch!
  • Try taking a short walk...have a snack that has a lot of fiber/protien to fill you up. Allow yourself a snack, just make it a healthy one.

    Chewing gum is a trick I use too, keeps your mouth busy and if you get the dessert flavored ones it feels like a treat. If you can take a break and go for a walk that helps, or switch tasks to re-engage your brain. You can do it! Focus on you goals!

    I have my Fiber One bar for my PM snack at 4pm. It's 3:15 now...:ohwell:
  • Bananas curb appetite, even just smelling one will help!
  • I know a lot of people say that sometimes we confuse thirst for hunger, so I make myself chug a glass of tea or water first. Hot tea works really great because you are apt to sip on it for a while, which can inadvertently help you wait long enough that your hunger will subside on its own. Plus it has some flavor to satisfy your taste buds.
