I like fiber. I like the things it does... yeah.. >_> I've just been over my fiber goal everyday and I was wondering if that's a bad thing.

I dont think so, from what I have heard as long as you drink LOTS of water then it is actually a good thing and you can not have to much fiber. When I am watching what I eat, I try to go over on fiber every day and also meet or exceed my protein also. I find it keeps me full and I feel good. Getting enough healthy fats is the next thing on my list of priorities. After fiber and protein. The only thing is if you dont get enough water the extra fiber can plug you up. But other then that it only does good things for you0

Well, not really "OD," but just keep in mind that excess fiber is a laxative. That can be very unpleasant.0

Fiber helps clear cholesterol from your circulatory system.0

You cannot OD on fiber. If you are feeling sick or get the runs or are gassy, then back off. Otherwise, don't worry about it.0

Yay! Okay. -eats more fiber-
Thank you!0 -
You can't Od per-say but if you eat to much you'll spend much of your day in the bathroom.0

Aim for 25-35g per day no more no less.0

I wouldn't worry. If you eat 'too much' you might need to visit the toilet a little more often but it's not bad for you. Your body excretes anything over and above what it needs so it's no different to drinking a lot of water and having to pee more.
If you are having to go too often then maybe cut it back a little but it's nothing to worry about,0 -

There is a point where water can actually become toxic...just saying0 -
I think MFP sets it really low anyway. I manually set mine at 25g so aim to get this, or at least 20g. Around 25-35g sounds about right.0

Theoretically you can OD on anything.
I imagine if you ate a lot of fibre beyond the recommended amount, you'd give yourself severe diarrhoea (and thus dehydration unless you adequately replace your liquid/electrolyte intake).0 -

No there isn't. Do you know what toxic means?
There IS a point where drinking too much can dilute your stomach acid and wash important bacteria out of your guts but that is a) NOT down to toxicity and b) An enormous quantity of water.0 -

To much fiber is possible, but difficult to achieve0 -
as long as your not eating a wicker patio set i think its really really difficult to overdo on fiber as long as your balancing with water. Your body will definately "sound the alarms" to let you know when you need to ease off.0
