Hello all,
I've never really joined an online group before or communicated with others through message boards, so here it is. My main reason for joining is to keep track of my food intake. I have a soft spot for sugary treats like candy, etc. so I'm trying to control my cravings by eliminating them cold turkey. I know that sugar is my addiction and I'm doing my best to avoid treats all week. (I will allow myself a treat or dessert on Sunday.) Once I reduce my sugar cravings, I think a lot of other foods will taste sweeter to me. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I'd appreciate them. Thanks! And good luck with all of your goals.

  • Welcome! and good luck!

To cut down on my sugar cravings, I drank a glass of grapefruit juice every morning and normally didn't crave sweets for the rest of the day. However, now they've come out with the 100 calorie packs of cookies which help out quite a bit when I'm craving sugar. (Just a couple suggestions!)

Do not cut out sugar COMPLETELY!! I went into hypoglycemic mode and I don't have that condition!! Dawn made a good suggestion about the 100 calorie packs! You just have to fit it in to your "diet".

Don't deprive yourself, just eat in moderation!

    YOU CAN DO IT!! :o)
