First snow

For those that never see much snow it is beautiful.:love:

For the rest of us it means 6 months or more having to deal with this miserable crap.
It is also only 20 above this morning here. :grumble:

    Stop depressing me. They reckon that over here this winter is going to be worse than last years.

    They reckon that the record low of -17℃ (1℉) recorded last year could be beaten. :sad:

    I can't believe we're getting snow in October! and we have a winter storm warning this weekend. Ugh. It is pretty but the prettiness won't last long

    The first snowfall is always beautiful, but the 6months of it is way to much.

    I wish -17C was as low as we saw here (I am in Canada). We can see it get to -30C here :frown:

    I love snow but I'm not quite sure I'm ready for it yet. It was 70 degrees just 2 days ago & now we have frost :noway: If I could just have nice weather for my birthday in about a week then I should be good for snow. :smile:

    At least you're prepared and know what to wear when it's freezing. When it gets to -17°C, people just stay home! ;)

    It's pretty when it's coming down but really sucks when it turns into a muddy mess ont he roads, especially mixed with salt and sand the county dept puts down..

    No snow for us in Indiana yet but this winter is supposed to be a bad one!

    I have a simple motto, "When it snow; I don't go."
    Its a good thing I live in NC, where we seldom have snow. I told my boss though, "If there is white stuff on the ground, I won't be around."

    First frost for me last night, tho! I'M EXCITED! I hate driving in snow, but I love having it once the roads are clear. And while it's falling and I can sit inside and watch it with some hot cocoa. :)

    We've had snow as early as mid-september here in MN.

    When I was 14 we 37 inches of snow on Halloween, 20 people died because it snowed so hard and nobody knew it was coming. People got buried in their cars.

    I love laying in bed with the curtains open watching it snow. So peaceful and beautiful. Luckily here in VA, if the roads even get a little icy, everything shuts down.

    For those of us who had to stand guard in the front of an airdraft, when it was -30*F, and our shelter and heat were both taken away, we're happy to not see snow for at least the next 2 winters.

    I am not a fan of winter however your pics are very nice Carl.. especially since the snow is in your area and not mine :)

    I hate it with a passion,months of dragging logs out of the woods for firewood,snow and cold that makes one suicidal.
    Sooo hoping for a warmer place to live soon.

    It's beautiful! I visited South Lake Tahoe, CA last year BUT I'll take my FL warm weather any time :-]
