We don't have fruit bats here. Will other types of bats do?
Vampire bats are a good substitution for fruit bats.. Although it does bump up the calorie content a smidge.0 -
This made my skin crawl. Eww.. I can't even look at fish that are cooked and still have a head and tail.. even crawfish. *shivers*0

I live near Austin. Would Mexican Freetail Bats work for this? Do you think there would be a difference in flavor due to the different diet?0

So seasonal!!!!
Although my bats are pets, so how could I possibly make soup out of them?

Do you mean coconut cream or coconut milk? I don't want it to be too sweet.0

I'm on my phone ...I just clicked on it from the sidebar ....it doesn't list which forum section the post is under, just the title...(I was only joking...it didn't really make me sick) :-)0 -
It's upsetting that my delicious recipe was kicked out of the 'food and nutrition' section. I'm sad.0

Soy sauce, even the low sodium kind, has too much sodium, so I think I will try it with the coconut cream as well.
Thanks for sharing!0 -
