If I wouldn't have pre logged my dinner I may have eaten an entire pizza

I usually pre-log as well, and when I don't I usually end up having to exercise for hours. Great advice.

Yep, I learned a hard lesson on not doing that once recently. I'll try my best to not make THAT mistake ever again. :flowerforyou:

I pre-log during breakfast :) It's good to know what I'm in for and I can make better choices, remove things or choose to eat half/whatever if I'm beginning to go over. :D

And I know how much I have left for dessert *grin*
  • Thank you for this post.. very good idea... will make me even more aware of what i will be going to.eat.. i just now need to form this habbit which i will say is a great one..

AGREE! I also pre-log, makes meal time much easier. Way to go on not eating the whole pizza.

Yeah I don't pre-log but I do look and see what the cals will be before I cook or eat something so I know what I'm in for, or have a really good idea.

Another pre-logger here. I prelog at night right after I pack the next day's lunch.

I make sure I know the calorie count, or how many calories I have left before I eat. If I order out, or go out to eat, I will check beforehand. It keeps me in check, while still allowing me flexibility.

I feel like this has been a major part of my personal success. I especially find it comforting walking into a restaurant knowing that what I'm going to eat is perfectly within my calorie allotment for today - much better than if I were to eat it, only to come home, log, and find out that it was way worse than I had thought.

pre-loging all the way!! i have a crazy schedule, and the only way i can keep on this lifestyle is if i plan my meals out ahead of time. plus once i log an entire day's worth of food, i hate going back to change it; i feel like i've set a plan and i have to follow set plan. it helps keep me in check and thinking about what i'm putting into my body.
  • +1 for the pre-logging.

I have pre logged all my dinners for this week and I log breakfast and lunch the night before - then I know how many cals I have for snacks. It's the only way this works for me.
  • I never pre-log, eat til I'm full, and constantly come up well under my calorie count for the day. It really sucks.

I pre log my main meals then I know what calories I have spare for snacks. I have a whole loads of recipes for home made meals I use regularly which makes life easier as well.

i at least prelog my dinners - since i plan those out a month at a time. but other than that i only prelog whole days worth for special occasions...like tomorrow (well today) is hubbys bday and we'll be going out for lunch, and out for drinks after dinner. so i logged what ill be having (other than drinks cuz i never know that) just to see how bad off ill be for monday

If my body feels like eating more.. it eats more. I never pre-log. ._.

I pre-log an entire week's worth of food. I also make my grocery list by going back to those logs. It saves money, too, because you only buy what you need to make the food that you pre-logged. So I don't even have anything in the house that would tempt me. I can't eat it if it's not there, and I am not the kind of person to just go to the store every time I decide that Reese's would be a good idea, lol.

I always do this, it has helped me stay on plan with very little slip ups.

Great idea ... sounds like a feature request, or perhaps we can already do it ...

I have at times used my snack section to place things, say that I take to work with me for a few days ... then if I dont eat it I remove it. I can stay on top of it then.
  • I've been slipping. I was pre-logging and very on top of things. But recently I have not been logging at all and I noticed that I'm not eatting what I should be eatting. Today is going to be different!!!! I'm going back to logging. Thanks for the thread. It's a good reminder.
