Are there any other men in here that are focusing on putting ON size? I want to focus on putting muscle on while adding the least amount of fat possible. Is there any one here that is in the same boat?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Eat a lot of fish (for protein) and work out a lot as well.0

I hope to be doing that in a couple months. Breaking myself down before building myself up...so I'll be watching this thread.0

Check out anything with Tom Venuto. I really like what he has to say.0

There's a fair number of us on here with that goal. Not just men but women too. I'm changing my lifting routine to Rippetoe's Starting Strength and eating lots. I'm not too worried about fat gain. That is, I know my body fat will probably increase, but I can burn that off again later. I'd rather focus on maximizing the strength gains.0

I'm cutting like mad, but will be trying to gain when I get there. I have a couple guys at work gaining. They are taking nitrous something and doing a 5 X 5 system and some of them are getting pretty ripped.
I'm doing cardio 6 days and lifting 4 days a week, I've been using gym buddy on my ipad to help me out. A local gym most likely has a trainer that can probably tailor something for you as well.0 -

If that is you in your avatar, I don't think you have to worry about getting too fat. If you want to gain muscle, you're going to have to lift on a consistant schedule and end your cycle with low reps and high weight. To maximize muscle mass, make sure you eat lots of calories (cleaner the better) and make sure you are getting enough protein to assist muscle growth.0 -
I'm down to 22.8% body fat, so still a long way to go, but have started strenght training as my arms and legs are actually skinny now. My fat is just around my belly. I think I look slim so am close to wanting to build muscle. Am interested to hear any recommendations so will follow this thread.0

Although I do understand some of the guys saying they would rather bulk and then cut....
I would suggest any new lifter, especially young guys, give this a read first, before choosing the cutting/bulking lifestyle.
