Hello,
I am taking the steps to make a major life change. I need to lose 220 pounds to reach my goal. My doctor set me a 100 pound goal.
I want to change my eating habits and relationship with food by keeping a food diary.
I just bought a recline exercise bicycle and some weights.
Keeping motivated and sticking to plan is going to be my biggest problem. I work from home and the fridge is a few feet away.
Thanks
D

You can do it if you stay within the calorie requirements, as prescribed. Since you have a lot to lose, you should be able to have a slow loss without having to eat a really small calorie count, at least at first. Just take it slowly, one day at a time.

You can do it. I did all of my weight loss at home with only a few weights, a bicycle and the high school track. I also do sit ups and push ups.
  • You got this! I am 5'1" and at one point in time in my life I was 210 pounds and I was depressed and had a very low self-esteem. I woke up one morning and decided the only person in charge of my happiness is me!!! And I am the one who has the power to change it. Since then I have lost 94 pounds and I feel amazing. I have taken up running as my choice of exercise and I love doing it. Be strong in your fight.
  • Good for you! I just started this yesterday so I'm right there with you... Motivation is the hardest part and you've gotten that far. Just keep in mind that you may not lose too much in the beginning, it's very typical. But you also might see the pounds flying off! Even if you have a bad day just get up the next day and start again. :O)

Sounds like you have the tools you need...make sure the junk food is out of the house...get a water bottle and make it your best friend, will help you feel fuller as well, so less snacking urges. The bike will help. I work at home as well, I welded up a laptop stand so i could pedal and take my conference calls at the same time...just try to keep moving!
