Oh add me, heavy lifts are mandatory in my life, bring the pain. :S LOL.0

I power lifted in high school. Now I am back at the old routine using it to help lose weight. Bench press: 375 three times atm. havnt set my squat or clean yet. Hope you achieve whatever goal you are after.0

Not lifting super heavy anymore, kinda thinkin about 5x5x315 on the flat. Not sure if joints can handle the max anymore, it been 10 years.0

I feel you. My knees are shot from a life being a lineman and constantly over weight. 1100 pounds on the leg press and I could really feel my age lol. I am nervous to squat heavy till I am back down under 330 . But my chest is strong as ever it keeps me motivated as I watch strength come back in a hurry. (granted I only took 4 years offs from the gym.)0

I'm 45 years old, 15 years of power lifting and age take a toll on your body. Look at all the pro ball players with bad knees, elbows and shoulders. My heaviest body weight was 275. I ate everything in sight to get the most calories, so when I quit ,the bad eating habits stayed. Now at 45, cholesterol, blood pressure and fatty liver has made me rethink things. Don't get me wrong I loved being strong as an ox but now I think I should have been better at nutrition.0

I've never been a powerlifter, but I've always lifted as heavy as I can do safely and with good form. I've never done singles since I'm more a bodybuilder than a power guy, but I've seen many a powerlifter in the gyms I've been in do crazy weight. Watching someone squat 700lbs raw and seeing that bar bend is amazing.0

nutrition got me too. In school all I wanted was to weigh 300 lol I ate garbage now I am paying for it. (I hit 400lbs at one point more then I asked for eh.) though this time around I am after weight loss and strength. Those two go well together. I will say this technique is everything and I miss watching the bar being bent slightly after I got done squatting. 560 was my max. 700 is unreal!0

Its an awesome feeling to be that strong. I used to say if the bars not bending sitting in the rack you're not working out heavy enough?0

We used to go to different gyms, walk through and watch the puffer fish and peacocks scatter. Use to say they had a disease called imaginary lat syndrome. LMAO Anytime you wanna talk about old times I'm with ya. Just holla.0

I powerlifted back in my college days. Now, just heavy enough for toning and to get a decent workout.0

I gag when the pretty boys strut around with out a shirt in front of the mirror right after they get done benching like 135 then going straight for dumbell curls and doing like 1 set before moving on. lol its just awful.0

We knew once we started lifting they would quit and go home or to another gym to strut. Had one little guy try to explain form to me and I said if I wanted to look like an aerobics instructor I would do it your way, lmao.0
