We're the same height. Walking is a great start. When you are ready to push it to the next level download one of those Couch to 5K programs. You can gradually become a runner. Good luck!
  • I have a love/hate relationship with the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD workout. It might be hard at first, but even taking frequent breaks and working your way up will still be a great workout. I hate it because it's hard. :P I love it because it's effective, it's less than 30 mins (so easier to work in around my boys, who are 4, 2, and 1), doesn't require a lot of equipment (a set of 2 lb hand weights and that's all), and it's under $10 (I got it on Amazon for around $7).

Just keep in mind that any exercise you're doing now is better than the no exercise you were doing before! :) You can do this!!

How old are your kids? Can you get them all in a wagon and pull them on a walk? That's a good workout and it feels really good when you get home. Even if it's cold out, just bundle them up and get them cozy in the wagon while you haul away!
