Just registered for my first 5K in a loooong time. Been running a bunch recently, and I'm hoping that Sunday morning will go well.

Best of luck to you!! Before you know it you'll have an entire dresser drawer filled with t-shirts from races!!

  • That is great! Nothing like the feeling of crossing the finish line.

I just really getting back into things, so I'm hoping for under 35 minutes. Should be a bit easier since there will be so many people running. Hopefully since its a small race, I'll be able to have my headphones and iPhone with me during the race

So true....I love my t-shirts. We are doing a 5K here at Ft. Hood in remebrance of the soliders and civilians that lost their lives during Nov 5 shooting. I am going to walk a nice pace and then jog it in. Started doing 5K's last year and I really feel good when I am done!!

Good luck! Is it a road race or off-road?

Hoping to do my 4th 5K race this weekend and thinking about signing up for a 10K in Feb.

Its about 2 miles on road, and a mile off. Looking forward to it. I know the path pretty well, so it should be familiar territory.

Sounds good! Nice that it's a route you know.
  • Just go and enjoy it!
I'll have my first 5k on Thanksgiving day in the Turkey Trot!
