i dont see how it's physically possible to burn calories during a massage...unless you're giving it!0

I saw this thing on "Super Size vs Super Skinny" once where a woman went and got a massage done on her abdomen. I don't know if it really worked but she did lose a few inches from her waistline (at least that's what she said.) >.> It's kind of gross when you really think about how it works though... better than taking a laxative I guess? LOL0

It is possible that what they would do it just work on your pressure points....0

I doubt it does more than push water around in ur body. U R better off exercising and monitoring caloric intake. U will loose more weights that way.
Have fun tho!

LOL I am sure its because they are massaging your midsection. If done correctly (you shouldn't try to do it yourself without fancy training because you can clog yourself up...) it will help everything "flow". I really wouldn't want to pay to have somebody push and prod on my digestive system!0

I'm guessing stimulating circulation/lymphatic system could help eliminate toxins/retained water but don't imagine you could rely on it doing a lot.0

I'm a massage therapist. I would not be here if getting the right kind of massage would slim me down!
The package is expensive, and comes with great advice about diet and exercise to go along with the massages. Together, they work.
Get a massage for muscle aches and pains, for relaxation, for stimulating lymph flow.......there are lots of very good reasons for getting a massage. I believe in massage therapy as a GREAT form of alternative (and very effective) healthcare. But it's not magic and it won't slim you down. The others are right - it will help you get rid of waste so you may look and feel slimmer the day after.0 -

Yeah, it will definately do that. It will also improve the appearance of your skin and your personal wellbeing which is all good during your weight loss journey.0
