  • Oh me too. You'd be surprised though. Americans find English accents very sexy but Brits find American accents just as sexy :) My ex says so all the time! They're crazy for American "accents" even though we don't think we have one lol

I agree with you. I studied abroad in England and I was surprised at how many guys wanted to dance with my friends and I because of our 'hot' accents. For the most part we liked talking to them too because of their cool accents. :)

does it count if you pretend that you have an Irish accent whenever you go to the mall and introduce yourself Steven McFlannery to all the cute girls to get them talking to you?

    Haha, Australians!

I was once told by an Australian that Australians are the scum of the earth

I've lived in new Zealand and Australia, they each will get mad at you if you think their Aussie accent sounds kiwi or vice versa, but they both sound the same to me. Personally I prefer English accents as well. I'm Canadian and my accent just sounds like how most tv programs sound, which sucks cause that's boring. I wish my accent was more exotic, it's so sexy!

    Oh, unless you're a French canadian :(

I adore Irish and new Zealand accents. Don't catch half of what they're saying but I could listen for hours.

That is one ****ed up generalization!!

I'm pretty happy with my South African accent but I find the american and australian accents quite sexy
  • I'm from New Zealand originally and loved American accents. Now I've been in the US for quite a while, lost most of my accent, and I find British accents rather dreamy.

There is no such thing as an "English" accent - they vary so much wherever you go! ;)

    Bwahahahaha.

Everyone has an accent. An accent is just how you pronounce words. Though apparently op's accent is "I don't grammar good." ;)

    Hey guys
if you want to take some of my pounds I'd love to give you my accent in return ^^
I'm originally from Germany, living in the North West of Ireland since 2005. Can you imagine what my accent sounds like?
You wouldn't want it: Irish- English with German accent and a touch of the strong Northern-Irish accent on top of it.
If I could choose, I'd rather have the American accent... and the proper vocabulary. IE: in America you say "hot flashes" whereas here in Ireland they say " hot flushes". How mad is that?
I am used to "kilograms" but my doctor checks my weight in "pounds" :D
Good luck to all of you! Let's loose pounds and not our hope :-)

And the Aussies think the French accent is sexy ... at least I do.

The funny thing in all of this is that when I lived in England, I went home one lunchtime, and had a phone call from the guy who lived next door to my parents in Australia. He had emigrated from Scotland, and had a very broad accent - even after living in Australia for 10 years..

When I got back to work, I was told that an Aussie had rung up looking for me.

Just a matter of perspective, I suppose ...

I like the British accent (London/TV one), Scottish and Irish accents. I swear they could just read the phonebook and make me happy!

I have an English accent; if only I could bottle it up and sell it you all! I'd make a small fortune! I've never really liked the sound of my voice; I've been told many times I sound quite posh!

As a Brit, I'm curious to know who you all think has a sexy accent?

I'm hoping it's not Hugh Grant or Cheryl Cole!

For the sake of being a boring old brit, A hot flash is the sensation of feeling heat around your body (often with menopause) and a hot flush is the resulting and visable 'blush or flush' of redness that appears on the face as a result of the hot flash and the increase in temperature on the extremities. My mum who is going through this simply refers to them as her 'tropical moments!'

I was born in England, my father was born in pakistan but his parents were English, my mother is welsh but her parents were south african, my husband is australian but his family originated in new zealand an his grandfather was mauri, our kis were born in switzerland and speak french and some English. Now thats confusing! They have 4 passports each!
