I wouldn't think so...As long as you stick with your calories! I like Vodka with Sprite zero and a lime. Or if I'm at home I will use a crystal light packet with that!0

beer is high in calories and sugar !0

which booze?0

"To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems."--Homer
this probably falls into the "moderation" category but i would love to hear what people have to say that have researched it.
my problem with it was i loved going to happy hour and having six pints or so along with duck fat fries and a kobe burger.0 -
I asked this yesterday, and the overwhelming response I got was NO! As long as you record it, and you are under your calorie intake, or counteract it with an awesome workout that day, you should be fine! I had four Jack Daniels with Coke Zero last night and was a bit scared to hop on the scale this morning, but I have still lost 0.3kg since yesterday, which is approximately what I have been losing everyday and so far in 11 days I've lost 2.1kg....
Just make sure its in moderation0 -
Read this http://www.leangains.com/2010/07/truth-about-alcohol-fat-loss-and-muscle.html
I love to go out for a drink and boogie so I just:
- limit carbs and fat that day,
- stay with in my cals (the dancing helps with that)
- flush myself with water
- Drink smart - for me that's vodka and soda water
The big challenge is the 3am burger run my friends insist on but I'm managing that atm too0 -
Alcohol should go back to being banned. It ruins marriages and children's lives. It's not something to celebrate nor is it something to brag about. Alcohol kills. It'sa joke and it blows my mind how many people are on here asking what kind of alcohol they can drink so they can continue to drink and still lose weight.0

yes and no....I think can still have it and still lose weight.
I did body for life when I was 25...lost a ton of weight. and lets just say I got torched every saturday drinking beer. I lost about 70 lbs in 11 months. but i was TIGHT the other 6 days of the week.
the only thing...I was 25....and weight seemed to come off a little quicker back then! lol.
but yah...i t hink on certain occassions you can indulge. on typical weekends, I'd try to only have 4 or so.0 -
wow! petty lover "buzz" off if its not the conversation for you!!!!
the key is to stay with in your calories friend.... that is the answer!0 -

Well, my husband just left, probably got arrested for DWI. He's had an alcohol problem for the entire 10 years we've been together. I told him it was time to grow up and start taking care of his kids. He's 33. How would ya'll feel if your significant other chose alcohol over you?0

you should do your research on prohibition. more people drank during prohibition than not. ie. no laws...so any kid could buy booze whenever. get your facts straight before lambasting people about having a couple drinks - and being RESPONSIBLE!!!!!!0 -

then he obviously can't handle it responsibly. I am sorry to hear this. but then HE needs to get help....and recover from it. I am sure we are all aware of the dangers it can pose for certain individuals...but that doesn't mean it should be banned.
read up on prohibition....it will blow your mind how many people died and how many more drank. I'm canadian and I even know about this.0 -

that sucks but I drink at home with my wife so its not the same best of luck to you0 -
I'm just not in a good mood. The title ALCOHOL hit me in the gut like a ton of bricks. It does still blow my mind the number of people who are on here trying to figure out what to drink so they can hold up their lifestyle while losing weight. Losing weight is about changing your lifestyle. Getting away from what you use to do so you can let go of that weight and be happy. If you drink occasionally or socially, it shouldn't really matter what you drink, cause you wouldn't be doing it that often...that's all I'm saying. Sorry if I ruffled anybody's feathers. By the way, I'm not sure who said it, but it's PettyLover...ONE word. Thank you.0

well...I will enjoy. I ain't driving tonight and its my first day on vacation. so...yes. a few beers will be indulged.
I hope things turn out ok for u and your family pettylover.
good luck.0 -

Ok..I really do understand. My husband is alcoholic. I drink occassionally. The key is to know your limits and be responsible. Sadly if alcohol was unavailable my husband would just find another high. I hate what alcohol does to the man I love. That being said, he's the one responsible for his drinking. No one has ever held him down and poured it down his throat.
Sorry that you're in so much pain....the vast majority of drinkers are not now and will never become alcoholic.0 -
I'd limit the amount of beer you take in...It's just loaded with calories, carbs, & sugar.0
-
As long as it's within your calories and you get all your proper nutrients for the day, enjoy.
If you enjoy a drink or two within your calories there is no reason this cannot be a part of a healthy lifestyle.0 -

So do you think my love of booze screws up weight loss?
It's fine to love your booze, just don't LOVE your booze, because then it could become a protein shake.0 -

I so can not wait until they ban Ignorance. Its not the Alcohol you asshat. Its the people that abuse it with the livers.0 -
If you enjoy a drink or two
Love you.0 -
Lts see, Ive had an Awful Awful ad 3 bottles of wine this week. and OMG...I lost weight...so yeah. If you do what you need to in order to enjoy some. Do it to it...but done over relish it0
-
As long as you calorie count it, absolutely not. Try to stick to liquor over beer though, more % alcohol, less calories0
-
Right ok, soo alot of people are saying that you can drink alcohol and still loose weight if ur under your calories.. So in other words, if i ate 1400 cals a day of lard, or 1400 cals a day of nutritious food i will loose weight on either one of them?! ....no! Its WHAT you put into your body that will help you too loose weight! Even if u are under your calories, alcohol isnt nutritious for you! Sorry you can all call me a bit.ch but i really dont care, ive learnt that if i stay under my cals yet eat crisps, chocolate, carbs etc i wont loose weight, whereas if im under my cals and eat plenty of fruit n veg, protien, a little carbs then i will loose weight0
