I did my first 5K today!! NSV!!

Well I did my first 5k. It took me 65 minutes but I did it. I am 50 yrs old, 343 lbs and only started working out 2 months ago.

    My friend and I just finished ours today. You have so much to be proud of. It's hard getting into shape, but totally worth it! Keep up the hard work!

    Crazylizz, you CAN do this! I have always made one excuse after the other for not exercising and getting into shape. I began this healthy lifestyle change in January of 2011. Then I started the C25K program in April and ran my first 5K in July. Running a 5K is something I was always told I could never do because of a medical condition I have. Since July I have run 3 5K's! I just love it. And I just printed forms for a holiday 5K T-Day weekend! I will never be the fastest or ever finish in the top 5 or 10 or whatever, but I can finish and I can finish stronger than I did the last time! And that's what you can do too--set a goal and achieve it...just for YOU! :happy:
