I'm doing cardio on the elliptical -M.W.F. in the morning and combine with 30day shred in the evening. I can really tells the difference. Even if you just do the elliptical and up the resisitance is great! Treadmills on the incline is also a great burn.
  • Step Aerobics! High intensity... Well, anything that focuses on the butt/thigh area. But I have this Reebok workout video that came out in the 90's...and my awesome dad found it for me on dvd! I lost weight with it years ago, doing other things as well, but for my thighs...man o man!

Running, jogging & walking are my go to exercises. Pretty much anything that uses your legs.

    Yep, Elliptical!

In addition to the earlier suggestions, I would suggest squats, front and side leg lifts, and front and side lunges. While I have a long way to go, I've seen some definite differences in my thighs.

Running, weighted squats and kettlebell swings. Then more running.

I just do leg lifts. It has helped to thin out my hips and thighs. For those that have less thinning to do than I, you could add ankle weights. I do the leg lifts laying down as well as standing. Regular lifts and cross lifts while laying on my side. Cross lifts work the inner thigh by lifting the lower leg while having the upper leg supporting you behind your lower leg. Does this make any sense? lol Sorry.

Overall fat loss, and even then they might be the absolute last place the fat comes off. My upper body is pretty damn lean. My thighs are still very chubby.

    Step aerobics.

    Spinning.

Or if you don't have a gym membership, I would recommend Body Training by Kelly Coffey Meyer-she has a body-weight only lower body workout that doesn't use any equipment at all. But you'll be happily sore the next day!

Lose the fat :) You can't really spot reduce.

yeah, i was going to say that although it's great to tone up, you're not going to see any difference until you get thinner and the weight comes off your thighs (or anywhere else!).

i reckon that, with all the running and sit ups and stuff like that i do, i've got AWESOME muscle definition. i just can't see it yet because it's staying warm underneath a sizeable layer of fat!!
