114 lbs lost over 5 years...

I started my weight loss journey in December of 2006 after being diagnosed with PCOS. I've lost the weight slowly, by making a complete lifestyle change. I eat very healthy & exercise at least 6 days a week. It hasn't always been like this, I have random spurts of loss followed by a couple months of maintaining but I couldn't be happier with my progress! The first picture (SO embarrassing!) is from December 2006, about 292 pounds and the 2nd picture is about 2 weeks ago at around 178; my grandpa was known for wearing only Dic*ies brand jumpsuits & my dad found one so I tried it on. I've got a little ways to go still, but I'm mainly trying to maintain & tone for now!

Your progress brought tears to my eyes. It goes to show you don't have to lose quickly - just keep on going.

My oldest daughter (she is 18) has PCOS. She does not understand how important it is for her to exercise and eat right. She already has high blood pressure. It scares me. I wish I could help her, but I cannot make her exercise.

Wow, you are gorgeous! And you do look like a totally different person. Way to go. Slow and steady is awesome, because then you have time to really make changes and get rid of bad habits. It's a lifestyle, not a diet! Yay!
  • I need to try harder! My hat off to you lady!
  • W O W ! ! Ahhhh mayyyy zinggg!!
