Today, my goal is to do a short home yoga practice. I'm still sleeping nine hours a night, and a nap in the afternoon. . .so anything more than that doesn't seem prudent.
Also, I need to call my Doc, but Easter Monday is a holiday Monday, so I might not get through to anyone in the office. Keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing/just a really mean virus, please.
Take care, pebbles!:flowerforyou:

Hello, all. I am feeling rather tired, myself - my throat's a little scratchy, so I'm probably getting a cold. Rats. I forgot that the gym would be closed yesterday (duh) so I went running outside - it was harder, but I still ran over 3.5 miles (which is the length of the run I'll be doing in May). I missed a couple days of my strength routine, but I'll have to see how I feel tonight. If I'm good, I'll head to aerobics and do some strength training. MM, I haven't put my name on the hundredpushups site yet - but I am going to order a shirt, I think. I still haven't settled on my goals for the next round - I like all the things I've been doing, fitness-wise, (cardio 4x/week including 1 day of running, yoga 1x/week, and strength 6x/week) but I have also been feeling pretty frazzled. I like the structure and the chart on the fridge - so maybe I actually need more goals instead of fewer (so I don't lose track of my non-fitness goals)!
Good luck with the doc, V. Keep taking care of yourself! :flowerforyou:0 -
Good morning everyone!
V, my fingers are crossed, good luck!!
Well it was super hard but I was up at 8:30 today after saying I would be up by 8. That's an hour before I usually wake up so I'm pretty happy with that. Goals for today:
Back to drinking water, not soda.
Vegetarian menu today after all the ham I ate over the weekend. I'm all bloaty from the sodium ... yuck.
Stay within my calorie goals and log all my food.
Hit up the gym for a short workout or a class.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Good morning,
Just a quick check in. Alex is still sleeping. I wish I was. I didn't get much sleep last night. I don't think there is a nap in my near future either.
Here's a repost of my goals for this challenge.
first goal-less time on the computer. I will be posting with you all, checking my email, maybe checking the weather and, if I need to,write an email. I will only do it when Alex is not awake, so I will be able to use my time efficiently while I am on it.
second goal-fast one lunch a week/ eat fruit or veggies only (spiritual reasons)
third goal- exercise 3-5X a week
It's not a lot but I am finding that at least during the next 6 weeks I need to shift my priorities around a bit and just hope that the weight comes off as I try to be mindful of what I am eating and how much.
I'm praying for you Vivia. I hope you hear something today.
I need to get off of here for now. I will try to check in later and see how everyone is doing!

Congrats CP on the 111! I actually had a dream last night that I was doing push-ups - maybe from reading the blog? I would look back and my knees were down, I would straighten my legs, do a couple more, than my knees would fall again.
Keeping fingers crossed V.
The only goals I'm changing are: yoga more, bike less. Now that we skipped the 50 mile on Sat, there's not another decent bike ride (that we can make) until the fall, so I'm done on the bike, except for errands. Yoga 5x a week is now on my fridge calendar. It will be hard this week as I'm going to Fort Worth again.
Yesterday was decadent - but nothing memorable. I think there is no way a restaurant can serve as good of food in a buffet as they can plated. I need to remember this. Our lunch, while very good, was not worth the price. We decided that next time we would have a plated dinner.

Good Morning All!
Hope you had a lovely Easter.
Sending good thoughts your way, Viv.
I'm with MWD -- yesterday was a splurge but nothing memorable. I need to keep telling myself that I've tasted all that Easter candy before (for 30+ years now!) so I KNOW what it tastes like.
My new goals:
* Save my splurges for things that I really, really want
* Mix in more outdoor workouts with gym workouts
* Allow alcohol only 3 more times for month of April0 -
Update: apparently, my doctor is in Cuba for the rest of the week, so I have to wait until Friday to get my results. I'd like to think that if there was some sort of huge red flag I'd get informed anyway . . .so no news is good news?
Still so tired. Man, my butt is kicked from this, whatever it is. I'm going to take a nap before yoga this afternoon. I actually feel good, but only for a few hours and then WHAM. . .tired. It's an improvement over just tired, though.
Thanks for all the good thoughts. It does help a lot. . . I feel more positive now than I did this a.m.:flowerforyou:0 -

sucks. So the clinic can't let you know the results? Poor V.0 -
Sorry, V. That stinks. I will pray for patience and peace for you this week.
I was just asked to babysit two kids tomorrow afternoon and Thursday. I usually say no because I don't like to babysit. But this is interesting to me. It's a four year old girl and a one year old boy....the ages we were thinking about adopting. So that seems more than coincidence to me. I'm okay with babysitting them but I don't know how Alex is going to respond. I asked him if it was okay if a couple of kids came over to play with him tomorrow. He said yes and we can watch Nemo a few times. LOL. He has a one track mind. So I may not get my work out in tomorrow or Thursday.
Gotta get off of here again!

Hi everyone,
Not a good day...tired, cranky and ate poorly. It was a nasty circle....
Not enough water
ate more than a half a bag of kernals popcorn...doublebutter....very bad for you
ate a plate of veal for lunch.....not so balanced for the intake today
no exersise
Tomorrow will be better, and you know I didn't care that I was making these choices...until I got home tonight and realized what I had done to myself. I completely went into pre healthy thinking mode without a thought. Sad that I am not likely to lose anything by Wednesday weigh in, I had four splurge days Thursday through to today ....so I think I'll claim last week up to today as my week off? LOL...
Tomorrow is a new day boogaloo....

So I ate vegetarian today and boy was it harder than I thought it would be BUT I am proud of myself for doing it. Can't say that I was the healthiest due to easter candy I have left over but I limited it pretty well. Drank all my water. I didn't do all of my errands, however, and I didn't make it to the gym. . I tried but I seem to be having this problem recently where I am so tired all the time. It's been like this since Thursday last week. Even if I get a good 10 hours of sleep Im still groggy all day and I have to take a nap or else I can't focus in class. I think I'm going to get this checked out. So I give myself a 70% for the day overall since no meat was super hard. O and I was excited because my goal for the week was to catch up in my lit class and I read for four hours last night, went to class thinking I was still behind and am actually ahead. Best news ever! lol. I will talk to you tomorrow morning!
