and stay dedicated 100% to this lifestyle change? I am constantly struggling with this. I start to do good with staying on track and then I fall off the bandwagon for a while. I would like to hear how everyone stays on board thanks in advance!

Everyone falls off the wagon once in a while The trick is not being discouraged.0

Realistic short-term goals. Last week I bought the sweetest pair of MissMe jeans that are slightly too small. I have them hanging in my room where I see them every day. I'm seriously going to be wearing them before the end of the year.
Like someone else mentioned, we all fall off the wagon from time to time. You just have to get back on and pick up where you left off0 -
I keep seeing the scale go down and my clothes getting to be big on me and that keeps me going each week so I can record another new loss. I also keep thinking about the health part of it, I do not want diabetes. I guess that is the way I keep myself going strong. Oh, and I have super supportive friends on MFP that I want to be proud of me0

honestly? and this is so petty of me-people telling me i can't do something/i don't look good/ etc. Basically i like proving people wrong0

If I feel like I am sliding off the bandwagon I change my calorie intake to "lose 1/2 pound" so that I have a bit more leeway and don't feel so restricted while still losing weight! When I feel like I have regained my drive and determination I knock it down to "lose 1 pound" because I really feel like that slow and steady loss instead of really restricting yourself and FEELING restricted keeps me from feeling discouraged and I am still seeing a loss0

I've a new life setting waiting for me. New people, new job, new country. Not so scared. The new challenges really scares me: I have better to fix what I can easily fix right now with proper advance, I mean my body shape and confidence
Generally speaking, I think that the only valuable and worthing motivation MUST BE something related to SELF: it always leads to results0 -
We all fall off the wagon sometimes. You just need to accept it and start fresh the next day. I set small goals which seem to be easier to handle than trying to look at the big picture all the time.0

Two things:
First, I remember that it's a lifestyle change and not a life sentence. I'm not in it for the short term, I'm in it for the long haul.
Then (perhaps conversely): I only have to do it one day at a time.0 -
Make sure your head is right first. Dont stress about it - once your head is there, the rest just follows.
So spend some time thinking about what you want, how you want to do it and make some small achievable goals.0 -
We’re human and straying from the path we’ve set out on is going to happen. You have control over how far from the path you stray or for even the length of time.
If you want to eat something you know you shouldn’t go for it, in moderation of course. Exercise a little longer or harder to make up for the splurge. If you don’t want to exercise as hard today, cut back a little in calories. Replace a meal with a salad instead.
I think what makes it easy for me (so far!) is that I am being realistic. I’m not on a “diet”. I’ve made a life change. If I truly want to do something that I know I shouldn’t I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I’ll make a change elsewhere in my day to compensate for it.0 -
I keep motivated by logging on to MFP everyday! I have never received the kind of motivation, encouragement and support in real life as I do from the people I've met on this site! When I am having a bad day or I eat something that I know I shouldn't have, my MFP buddies are always there to remind me that I'm human and tomorrow is another day to get back on track. I try to return the favor to them as much as possible. Feel free to add me if you would like the same kind of support0

FORGIVE FORGIVE FORGIVE!!!!!
FORGIVE YOUR SELF BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE CAN!
Do not for a second EVER feel bad when you've made a bad choice... just move on with the good choices. Don't regret, don't self-flog... just get the FACk over it & move on.
the worst thing you can ever do is beat yourself up over anything. You WILL make bad choices at times & how fast you recover from that will be a big determining success0 -
I gave this 'project status', that is I have a definite time-frame, goals, and actions to achieve those goals. When I feel tempted to slack off I refer back to the goals.

I know it sounds loopy - but I have meetings with myself and let the conversation get so rediculous (sp) that it makes me laugh and shakes me back into shape and i shake myself down, head up and face it head on0
