Wondering if anyone has suggestions about healthy snacks that also keep me full longer?

i LOVE apple cinnamon rice cakes with peanut butter and banana...you just havo watch how much PB you put on it b/c thats most of the calories. It keeps me very full and is delicious! I consider it healthier than other things I would snack on.

  • My favorite snack is an apple and a Kashi TLC Peanut butter granola bar. That keeps me full for hours.
Or string cheese and a handful of almonds. Or a piece of whole grain toast with peanut butter.
  • Beef jerky holds me over for quite some time.

HAHA skinnyminny!!! that is totally my problem :)

I like to snack on almonds. they're kinda high-cal but they're filling and delicious.

also - I love to snack on frozen peas (warmed up...obviously...) with some Frank's Red Hot sauce on it. I know that's weird, but ... I love it :)
  • Chobani nonfat yogurt, pomegranate is the best.

My kids LOVE, LOVE frozen peas still frozen. They are a lot sweeter than when heated. I snack on them when I'm cooking.

my go to snacks are popcorn with no butter, yogurt with frozen berries, apples.
I'll be watching this thread for other suggestions

Hummus is great, it's awesome. Also, I found for myself, with any kind of chip, right now it's Stacy's Simply Baked Pita chips, I only put one serving size in a bowl and that is all I allow myself. It so helps!!!! Put the bag away after you fill your very small bowl! Good luck!
  • I have green tea when im feeling that hungry! I have been replacing my morning and afternoon smoko snacks with green tea. It takes the hunger away and fills you up (since its just water!) and also has really great health benefits :)
  • wow! thanks for all the great ideas guys :)
  • I have to agree with hummous. Anything high in good fat or protein should do the trick.

My favourites at the minute are seafood sticks, peanut butter (but not too much) and unsalted mixed nuts (but not all together!) :)

Also popcorn with cinnamon instead of butter (i hear cinnamon is great for weight loss). If i'm treating myself i also have popcorn drizzled with honey and sprinkled with sweetener. heaven!

In the morning I have a couple of hard boiled eggs and in the afternoon I have an ounce of almonds.
