Hey all,
so I have finished high school (or as aussies know it, college) and am taking a gap year atm.
I have 2 jobs, one at the local bowling alley as a party hostess and one at a fast food restaurant.
I work at the bowling alley on weekends, doing one or two very short shifts... whereas at the fast food restaurant i am doing 5 days a week.
Next year I am going to tafe to do a PT course, part time so only 2 or 3 times per week.

My question is what should I do? Work both jobs, or work just the restaurant? If I quit the bowling alley that means I could work weekends as well, what do you think is best?

I need as much money as possible.

Thanks :]

It's really dependent on your time management skills. If you are only studying part time you could actually work both if you cut down on a few shifts.
Personally I would go for the fast food job, as usually fast food chains are open longer hours and are more flexible for work schedules :)
I'm currently at uni and also work a few hours at a fast-food place. I usually do about two shifts a week (though I could probably do about 4 shifts if i wasn't lazy) But I do mostly late nights.
    Hope this helps

We call it high school... My high school was called Corpus Christi College, but we still call it high school :p
Other high schools are called ___ Senior High School, or ___ Secondary Collge, but we all call it high school

Only in Canberra is it called college. :)

I think if you can get by with one job while studying, better to do that and make sure you get as much as possible from the study - both in terms of what you learn and in terms of your grades. The payoff will be greater down the track.

it also depends if you are eligible for any government benefits
after taking a gap year and working as much as you do im pretty sure you would be so i would also look into that and see how much money you will get
has someone who isnt eligible (dad earns too much money but its not like he gives me any stupid government) its hard going to uni full time ( especially mine where i have prac so this semester i have had to take of 10 weeks from work =[ ) and finding time to work study and do your assignments

id have a look at what support you get then decide if you need both jobs
    =D
