I know what you mean. I keep hoping there will be a day where my thighs are not glued together at all times!

ME!!! Even after losing a ton of weight, they're still big and all I wanted was to wear a pair of skinny jeans and my thighs are too big! BLAH!

Thighs arent supposed to rub together? Darn......

Yea, my bf always says "Damnnn Look at those thighs" and loves em, but he doesnt realize that is makes me self conscience and I hate them...
  • My best advice? Embrace them. I have always been very bottom-heavy, and usually get a lot of positive feedback from guys I have dated...of course, keep working on toning, but don't obsess about size, it will only frustrate you in the long run. We are not all built the same and I wasted a lot of years wishing I had a bigger chest and smaller butt....it's just not hte way I am built and, like I said - I have had nothing but (ha - no pun intended!) compliments! Roll with it.

Oh yea, but turning around my eating habits and working out (lunges, squats, stationary bike, treadmill, etc) have all helped slim them down. Mine no longer rub together. I still have some work to do, but slowly, but surely these thunder thighs of mine are slimming down. Best of luck!!

Blame your parents. It's from their genetics.
There are lots of "thunder thigh" people out there. Unfortunately genetic predisposition put them there. So you take what you have and build around it. Build "wider" shoulders and get a trimmer waistline and you have a more hourglass figure.

"She (I) get it from her mama..." BUT, I was able to do a good deal of trimming, too. it takes hard work and dedication, but it CAN be done.

Yep. I have a 3 size differential between by lower and upper body. Waist/ bust size 6/8. Thighs/hips 12/14. Then my shoulders get back into the 12/14 range. Makes buying clothes really fun.

Oh lord I have hated my thighs since I was old enough to notice that my legs were always heavier than others.
I exercise like a fiend, but I guess there is no fighting heredity.
I try to look at the positive. Along with the big thighs I got a big butt, but not a flabby butt. Dare I say my husband thinks it's my best *kitten*-et (sorry I had to).
Hubby also says that it's not so much that my thighs are fat-they are muscular, strong, powerful. I try to convince myself to use those adjectives instead.

Hollla!!! LOL! I've learned to embrace them! They've been with me through thick and thin! Literally!

Even now that I've lost the weight they are still there, but I've learned to love'em (or at least not curse at them) ... working on toning them. They look so much better now... I am running, squats, lunges, deadlights and the latest addition Jillians Killer Buns and Thighs.

    Good luck!

Plus curvy women do it better ;)

I've definitely got thighs. I've always had them. Even at my skinniest, my thighs still rubbed together (I was wearing a 6 at the time)

    I guess that's how I'm made.

Me too!! I've just accepted the fact that I'll never have slender, sleek thighs. It's not in my genetics. I've always been more bottom heavy and that's just the way it is. I'm just working on making them more toned...squats, lunges, etc.
