The Turkey Challenge!!!!!

I am posting a 30 day challenge to start my core training and get ready for my first tough mutter next year. The challenge is 100 sit-ups (any style) a day for 30 days and as many pushups (any style) as you can. If you miss a day, you have to make that day up somehow.

I'm hoping this challenge will keep people focused on fitness during one of the biggest drinking/eating seasons of the year. Good luck to all who are up for it and I will post my tracking once a week.

    i"m in! Been wanting to really do some core work for a while. Probably be doing my own mix of crunches, planks, and hanging leg raises on a rotation. Lol. Need to keep it interesting.

    Planning my strategy for today. Lol. Have dinner with a friend at 8 so I only have about 2 hours after work to get as much in as I can.

    1000 minutes of cardio and 3000 crunches. My November is going to be nuts!

    Count me in! I am running on the treadmill when I get home so when I am done with that I'll work on my crunches and sit ups.

    November 1: 100 Crunches/ 15 modified push ups
    November 2: 100 Crunches/ 5 regular push ups
    November 3: 100 Crunches/ 15 modified push ups
    November 4: 100 Cruches/ 15 modified push ups
    November 5: Forgot :(
    November 6: Forgot again :(
    November 7: 100 Crunches/ 5 regular push ups

    I forgot to report in. Oopsie. I did mine like Islabella. I did crunches and leg lifts instead of full-on situps. And then, like HRBush, I kept forgetting. I'm trying to make it a habit.

    Nov 1 - 80 crunches 50 leg lifts 45 push-ups
    Nov 2 - 100 crunches 60 leg lifts 45 push-ups
    Nov 3 - forgot
    Nov 4 - 100 crunches 80 leg lifts 30 push-ups
    Nov 5 - out of town and forgot again!
    Nov 6 - 100 crunches 60 leg lifts 30 push-ups
    Nov 7 - forgot

    p.s. Someone lost a bet last night and is going to pay for it! ;)

    Your abs are muscles too and need the time to recover. Will working them like that everyday allow them to do that? The same goes for your push ups.

    Nov 1 - 25 pushups and 100 crunches
    Nov 2 - 50 shoulder presses
    Nov 3 - 25 pushups and 200 crunches
    Nov 4 - 50 reverse rows and 100 leg lifts
    Nov 5 -
    Nov 6 - 50 pushsups and 100 crunches/25 hanging leg lifts/75 reverse crunches

    I am going to try this I hadn't done a pushup or situp in a long time for fitness so I think I will try doing mine on a fitness ball.
