How many lbs do you loose before changing clothes size?

Okay....I've lost 40lbs to date and I am still WEARING my same ole clothes. Granted I havent tried any smaller sizes but my regular clothes are loose but not baggy as many say here. Geesh! Maybe its because I am extremely heavy still.0

Ok Thunder thighs here! I have lost 17lbs and my pants are really lose on the waist but my thighs are still a little snug in there....LOL! I have no belly yay! But really annoying that I can't wear smaller pants yet.0

I have lost 26 and am just now noticing a difference in the way stuff is fitting, but the kids are saying my face and legs are where they are noticing most of the difference.0

Pretty sure I won't see the next dress size down until I'm down around 40-50 lbs myself (based on previously being that weight and the size I wore)
I blame this on my chest, hips/thighs and large frame0 -
I've lost around 70lbs (31.8kg). I used to wear size 16 pants and I'm down to 8/10. I also used to wear size XXL in womens shirts (XL in mens) and now I wear a S in women's shirts. As for dress sizes...well...when I ordered a gown, it was a size 16 womens (larger sizes). Since I've lost all this weight, I'm down to a 12 average(smaller than womens sizes)
I've heard many people say that for a dress size, it's typically 10-15lbs to drop a size or so. At the present time, for my pants size, it's an average of 11lbs per pant size.0 -
Since I'm not very big, I need to lose 6-7kg (15 pounds) to drop a size (I'm US 4-6 or UK 8-10). It's really hard to make your waist smaller.0

I try to wait as long as possible before sizing down. I have lost 38 kg (84 pounds) and sized down from size 26 to size 22, then again from size 22 to size 18. I'm currently between sizes (16/18) and my next size down should be to 14.0

For me its 20 or so pounds before going down a size.0

Impossible to say a set number of pounds= one size. For example, you might lose the first 15 pounds mostly in your upper body, and your jeans size remains the same. Or, you could lose a localized fat deposit, a roll, a bulge, and drop a size with less than ten pounds lost.0

depends on how you carry weight. i lost 65 pounds a couple years back, went from a size 24 pants to size 14. i gained that weight back, but i am only at 18 now. i've lost 7 more and 18's are getting pretty big. at my thinnest adult i was 117 and was still a size 9/11.0

It's about 10 lbs/size for me (at 5'6.5" tall), but I've found as I get closer to my goal weight it's less. Muscle vs. fat makes a difference, too. Right now, I'm 7-8 lbs up from my lowest weight but at least a size smaller.0

For me it has not been consistent. When I was in plus sizes it was 20 pounds a size. When I was in the upper normal sizes it was a little less than 10 pounds a size. Now that I am in the smaller sizes it is a little over 10 pounds a size. I found that it was where the changes in my measurements were happening that made the difference more than the scale. It really depends on your body shape as to how and when you change sizes.0

Dr. Oz said that generally when women lose 20 lbs they go down two sizes. I think that it is different for everyone. We all have our own shapes and body types.0

I have lost 50 pounds and have went down around 4 pants sizes and from a tight XL shirt to a loose L.0

Quite awhile ago, I had dropped 3-4 sizes when working out at the gym. When I finally weighed myself, I had lost SIX pounds. Seriously. I was big into weights though, so I had gained some muscle weight while dropping fat.
It all just depends on YOUR body. I don't think there's a generic "Lose 10 pounds and drop one pants size" answer.
In fact, my weight has gone up two pounds this past month and I've dropped a size.0
