In the early stages...?

Hi, I just started my weight loss program about 1-2 weeks ago. When you started, did it take a few weeks for the scale to catch up with all your hard work. I have had it happen to me in the past where I worked my butt off, saw no results, gave up, then saw results a few weeks later. Does this happen to anyone else?

I personally think that you have to set realistic goals.....and sometimes we as a ppl want right now results... which isn't always the best thing...stick to it... and i promise you that you will see results... good luck on your journey:wink:

I choose not to set weight goals (aside from ultimate) because I generally fail at them and lose heart - instead I use the measuring tape and set around 4 goals to achieve per fortnight (normally one or two exercise, one or two food related, and mental health related) :)

you're ok as long as you keep the focus... learning how your body reacts is key!

I know I'll sometimes go 2-3 weeks with consistent effort but no results, and then drop 4-6 pounds in a week. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'm doing it for health reasons, and the health benefits of eating healthy and exercising don't go away even when I'm on a plateau.
  • Thank you all :)
  • Great topic, I know how this feels but have faith that any change to my diet and exercise from what I was doing will eventually pay off.
