Fasts didnt work, maybe excercise will?

Wow, a 40 day fast is amazing. Don't know how you did it. I'm currently trying Intermittent Fasting and it seems to be going well. I honestly think it's the easiest diet I've ever tried. I'm averaging about two pounds a week. Basically, I fast for 24 hours twice a week (not back to back). There are some hormonal benefits associated with it along with the obvious advantages of caloric restriction. There is some solid science behind it. There are several types of IF, but the one I've been following is called Eat-Stop-Eat (ESE). Google if you're interested. Should be a breeze for you lol.0

how long ago was your fast? and how are your eating habits now? i think you should slowly re-introduce food into your system.. like go veggies and fruits for a week first, then introduce fish the next week so that your body can adjust from no food to whole foods
i'm so amazed by your willpower. i'm also starting my water fast today but i only do 3-days at a time, never the full 40 days
exercise would also be useless if you don't watch what you eat or choose your food wisely u dont have to go full marathon mode, start with brisk walking for half an hour or so for a week.. a good training program is the c25k.. it starts really really light, doesn't overwork your muscles

I've done fasts, exercise routines, Mayo Clinic, Atkins, Herbal-life, Intermittent (every other day) fasting diet, 3-day diet, dexatrim, slim-fast, Deal-a-Meal and Windows by Richard Simmons... and they all failed for me. Exercise and counting calories has worked for 19 months. I started at 343 and am now 239. I am shooting for 190. I hope you find your lifestyle of exercise and diet here at myfitnesspal.
