Weak

Can anyone help explain something to me? I have been losing weight at a good pace, not to much to soon. Today I have been feeling drained like I'm just getting over the flu or a stomach bug. I am not sick, nor have I been but I feel so washed out. What I can't understand is, I'm eating much healthier and have elimiated sodas and sweets. I've been dieting for 8 weeks so I wouldn't think its detox from foods. I have not been taking a supplement, but I think I will get some tomorrow. But as I said, I'm eating so much more healthy I may not even need them.

I have thought back to other times when I have dieted and I have felt like this before, this is usually the point where I give up thinking at least when I'm fat I don't feel weak. Go figure. I have come to far to give up now, and I've still got a long way to go.
Any ideas??

My week was like that last week, I got the flu shoot so I am blaming it on that. You may just have a mild bug don't quit you will get stronger.

Do you exercise? If so, how often & for how long? I typically work out 1-2x/day, every day, and I have recently just felt totally wrung out. I had to take a day off to allow my body to recover. You should definitely take at least a multivitamin/multimineral tab every day.

it happens. you need to look at the food you're eating, find the stuff that gives you more energy. also, start measuring your workouts, and see how you are progressing.

what is your loss per week set at? i bet it's too low, and that if you went for a pound per week, you'd feel a lot better.

I get the exact same way. I think you need to check how much you sleep and make sure that you are eating plenty of energy filled foods as well. It is also a natural response to calorie deficit diets generally. So get rest and don't over do it. I have a tendency to do that.

Might be a very low grade virus, change in the weather, not the best sleep, late night, numerous things could give you an off day. I wouldn't worry unless it persists for more than a few days, then see what your doctor thinks. Congrats on the weight loss so far.

I am border-line anemic, but didn't know until recently. I started dieting and about the time I lost 5 lbs. I was always cold and tired and had mild headaches. I tried to give blood and they told me my iron was too low to give, which has never happened in the past. So i set my MFP to watch my iron intake and I try to eat iron rich foods throughout the day. Less symptoms now but it takes some work to eat the right foods, but no supplements yet, which I don't want to take without asking a doctor because too much iron can be bad too.
I am NOT saying you are anemic, but maybe look at the reports on MFP too see if you are not getting enough Vitamin C, Calcium,. etc, and if anything is low, try to take more into your diet. Try to take more in for a week or so and see if you still get tired.
    Hope this helps!

I feel like this once every 28 days... Give it a few days, and give yourself a little "recoup" time. You may just need to take a mental breather. I know my energy and motivation comes and goes almost weekly. Hang in there!! You'll never know what lies at the end of the road if you don't travel it, no matter how slow you goo, or how many times you take a rest.

My past diets have ened the same way too. However I have since discovered my flaw. Are you just counting calories or are you remembering to count your nutrients too? Carbs, fats, protien, vitamins...It's a whole package thing. Supliments are great but nature is better. There are many websites to help you choose healthy and nutritional foods. I like Whfoods.com
