    Ahhhh......the Decemberists too.

Anyone familiar with The Swell Season or The Frames?

    Yes and yes.

Elvis Perkins in Dearland anyone? SO GOOD. The Antlers (not really lyrically, but in general). Fleet Foxes!! The Shins (yes, cliche, but they do have some good lyrics..).

Glen Hansard, yes! I've seen him twice. Once w/ 'Iron and Wine' (also amazing), and once as 'The Swell Season', but his band mates from 'The Frames' were also there. So very good!

And yes, I've definitely seen 'Once'!

Another absolute favorite I've been listening to a lot lately is Lightning Dust. Infinite Light is a fantastic CD start to finish.

I spent my last long road trip (22 hours total) listening to nothing but NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Podcasts. I'm not an NPR fan, but damn they have the same taste in music as I do.

My favorite three finds were Fanfarlo, Lightning Dust and the Avett Brothers. I could listen to them nonstop.

Also, check out voiceproject.org. It's a bunch of covers by bands/singers of other bands/singers. That's where I found that Cameron Hull cover :)

Was introduced to both The Swell Season and The Frames by a friend a couple years ago and had the opportunity to see The Swell Season in concert...absolutely FABULOUS :)

I'm not familiar w/the first two bands, but I love The Avett Brothers.

I have a friend from high school who plays bass in a band called The Wood Brothers...similar kinda sound.

Uh, just listened to Lightning Dust. And I'm usually not into women singers (with a few exceptions), but I'm so into her voice.
