What do I need to eat/How much to eat/When to eat what to loose body fat but not musle. I've been stuck at the same place for awhile. Been trying to change it up at the gym, but idk what to do to change up the food. I probably eat 80% clean. Admitedly I love chocolate!

eat food, not too much, mostly plants
^ advice from a silly little book that makes a LOT of sense.
It doesn't matter at all WHEN you eat.
The question of what? Eat a variety. Try to get protein, fats, and carbs in each meal. You can aim for a percentage of each if you'd like, like 40% carb, 40% protein, 20% fat or anything along those lines. Move the percentages one way or the other, mess around with them.
How much to eat? Start with what is listed as a serving. If you are still hungry after that, have a glass of water and wait a few minutes then if you still feel hungry, have some more.0 -

It's easier to comment if you open your food diary.0

What do you do at the moment?0

Trying to eat clean...fruits and veggies, trying to avoid chocolate. I will try to open my food journal (very new to this site). Thanks for the heads up on bump.
After tracking my food for two days I realize I need to eat more veggies and lean protein. And I think that maybe I am not eating enough, but I am not hungry and eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.I have been under in calories both days. I have been pretty bad about drinking enough water lately too. Thanks again everyone0 -
your diary isn't too bad at all! Keep recording and analysing it, and seeing where you could tweak it to improve it. My comments so far would be
1. Why are you having a protein powder?
and
2. Your sugar is very high - granted that's from fruit, but you might want to switch to lower sugar kinds of fruit, or have carrot sticks, radishes, celery etc instead of one of your fruit snacks.0 -
That protein powder was an excellent choice, in my opinion. It is safe to have 1g protein for each pound of lean muscle, so 71g is a great number for her.0

I am mostly eating everything in moderation even sweets. Everything is homemade that I give to my body and loosing weight. We have a same goal, I am trying to grow muscle as well and it is happening although it's not a fast process.
There is some protein rich homemade food recipe if you would like check out this site:

Oh I agree the amount of protein is good - I just don't think that protein bars, powders etc are always necessary. Many people are on here to learn how to eat in a sustainable fashion, that they can do for the rest of their lives. For me, artificial sources of protein don't figure in that. They have their place, for sure, but only in certain circumstances. Hence my question "why".0
