I had my inital assessment at the gym I joined today & I was sooo nervous! I have been working out and using MFP for a little over a month and have had great results so I was hoping I would do slightly better than when I attempted to lose weight last year and joined a different gym. My BFP was somewhere over 30% last year when they figured it out...but today it was down to 26.5%!!!!!!! Thats only 1.5% (or about 5lbs) away from being in the "Healthy" range for my height!!!! I'm so HAPPY that I'm actually sticking with this and actually getting results.

first, congrats. awesome job. second, dont depend only on the bmi. i am 5ft 5 inches, weigh 145 pounds, and according to that, im barely healthy. and i wear a size 4 jeans. im pretty sure thats much more than barely healthy:)

actually -- Body fat and BMI rae totally different. 25 BMI is "healthy" but Bodyfat for a woman is defined as healthy around 30-32 (i've seen slightly different numbers places). So you are already a healthy bodyfat %.

    Description Women Men
    Essential fat 10–13% 2–5%
    Athletes 14–20% 6–13%
    Fitness 21–24% 14–18%
    Average 25–31% 18–24%
    Obese 32%+ 25%+

My BMI is around 28%..I know thats different that body fat. They're both only a few percentage points away from being "offically healthy". I'm 5'8" and the healthy weight range is 124-165....I would look so awful if I only weighed 124!!! I am a curvy gal & I love it! Now I'm just showing off my curves more than the padding of fat that was on top of my curves =)
