How do you count thanksgiving calories ?

  • I'm thinking I may just really watch portion sizes and not keep track that day. I'm making everything myself so I suppose I could figure it all out, but it's just one day so I may just bite the bullet and have a little of everything and call it a day. Happy Thanksgiving!

This is what I do. I already had one Thanksgiving and went way overboard though....but it's only a day or two and then get back on track.

I don't ever try. Just don't overdo it. You'll be fine. If you have time to exercise in the morning, that will help and eat breakfast. Remember that it is just ONE meal, not your LAST meal ever.

I plan on tracking it just like anyother day. Peas, carrots , mashed potatoes, turkey, pie, etc. I also planning on getting a good bit of exercise in that morning too ( I am not cooking Thanskgiving dinner this year!)

I assume that I will go over that day - and I plan to enjoy it :)

Just track from the food database like you normally would. I'm gonna log my meals like I would do any other day. I have to have some idea of how much I'm consuming. It's not exact, but at least it will give me an idea of how many calories, fat, sodium etc. Going to exercise as normal also, if not more, just to offset the extra calories. For me, the journey doesn't stop just because its a holiday. I enjoy my a.m. workout and I will have more time to get in a longer workout Thursday and Friday, so I should be ok. Good luck!:-)
