How does everyone eat avocados? I usually have a texmex salad but I'm out of romaine or any lettuce for that matter. Any suggestions?? I have a bag of 5 in my fridge and I don't want them to go to waste.

Mash them up with a fork, add some lemon juice, and eat on bread or crackers.

Slice them up and put them in your salad.
  • I actually just bought 8 avocados myself! I love to make avocado and tomato on toasted wheat!

Toast 1 slice of wheat bread cut it into 4 quarters
    put a slice (1/8 of a tomato)
and a slice (1/8 of avocado)
    drizzle with olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste

    Delicious!

Mmm, one of my favourite salads:

    Sliced up avocado
    Strawberries
Mandarin Orange slices (the juice with a little vinegar becomes the dressing)
    cherry tomatos
    Spinach

Oh ya, and mix it with tuna instead of mayo and put it on whole wheat bread.... even heat it up with a slice of swiss cheese, OMG.............

Ooh - I like your suggestions tig!
  • I like to cut avacado into small bite-size d pieces and mix with a very little lemon juice and soy sauce. Great as a side dish. , No lemon? Use little vinegar. Another favorite is mashed and spread on toast.
